   My experience with SimplyVAT has been extremely disappointing. Their pricing model borders on exploitative. When I requested help to deregister a German VAT number, they quoted an astonishing £350 for what is essentially a single email to the German tax office. After investigating the process myself, I discovered it is simple, straightforward, and can be done directly by the business owner with no agent, no complex forms, and no additional expertise required. Charging £350 for a task that takes minutes and requires minimal effort is, in my view, blatant price gouging. It reflects a lack of transparency and fairness, especially for small businesses that rely on advisors to act ethically. I terminated the service immediately and completed the deregistration myself without any difficulty reinforcing that the fee was unjustifiable and disproportionate by any standard. If you are considering using SimplyVAT, be extremely cautious about their additional charges. Based on my experience, they do not represent good value and appear to rely on clients not realising how simple some of these processes actually are.

   I have recently been working with SimplyVAT to obtain a new VAT number in the EU. Oscar has been great at communication, and very speedy at sending the information required to the relevant EU country. After a few weeks of answering questions, we have finally been told that my new VAT number will be issued within 3 days. I am very pleased with SimplyVAT. There inhouse message system for messaging and sending documents is very easy to use aswell. I would recommend them, especially Oscar. Thank you.

   Simply the worst! terrible communication and poor service all wrapped up together. 10 months after paying a fortune for deregistration, it hasn't happened, so I continue to receive "estimated return bills. No follow-up from Simply VAT No communication Nothing.. Now that I have stopped paying for their terrible service, I 'm on my own, even though I did pay for de-registration and closure. Look elsewhere. You get what you pay for, and these guys are not worth the risk.

   This is company where the name of the company is sarcastic, working with them is everything but simply. In the last 6 months we've had 2 different AMs, one of which couldn't file a quarterly return correctly, and things escalated to her teamleader who then left us hanging in the dark, with no response. Thanks Stanislava. Our original AM Valeria was polite and responsive, but since she left, our account has been neglected to the point we might get a fine from the HMRC. SimplyVAT does not care. Eventhough we have a contract and it is their OBLIGATION. Our emails are unanswered for months, leaving us in the dark and having to chase, but their invoices and payment reminders keep coming frequently. There are so many other companies that have the same service as they, keep away from this "simple" company.

   We use SimplyVAT for our EU VAT obligations and have been with for them around 18 months. Unfortunately we have been left with no choice but to submit a detailed review as a result of the terrible we have received recently. In the last 6 months we've had 3 different AMs, one of which couldn't file a quarterly return correctly, this left us scrambling to ensure it was submitted on time. Our original AM was brilliant but since she left, our account has been passed around various reps that have little care for our business. Most of the time our emails go unanswered for weeks, leaving us in the dark and having to chase. Either the AMs have too many clients to give us enough time or they are simply not qualified enough to handle our obligations. We have since decided exit the EU market and notified SimplyVAT of our 2 month notice. Since then, they are trying to charge over £500 for various de-registration fees. As well as the ongoing charges for OSS and quarterly returns. Since giving our notice, our emails have been ignored and we missed another deadline for a return. Our AM failed to share the relevant a reference number so that we could make payment to the relevant EU authority. Companies like SimplyVAT are supposed to take the headaches away from business owners but this has turned into a nightmare. This company has gone down hill, you should avoid at all costs. Find a company that actually takes care of their clients.

   The other reviews are correct. They were super engaged prior to paying and very responsive with multiple team members jumping in to help with any and all questions. Unfortunately that's where the praise ends. After paying a deposit (even though I wasn't sure it was needed, as I look to them the experts to guide me whether I needed the service or not) one of the staff said I'd be better of with another outfit to offer a more complete solution which I appreciated. The problem is they have completely stopped replying to any and all emails requesting our money back. It's like they've been trained to hustle for the sale, get payment and if you decide it's not right for you or didn't even use their service, well too bad they won't reply and you don't get a dime back. To warn others what you'll be out of a pocket with, we paid $1000 pounds. A huge amount for a small business like ours. Hopefully they will reply as they have done to other negative reviews here on google but right now I feel completely scammed which I have never seen a financial company be so brazen about it. Once would think a firm that helps with taxes, money and the likes would be on the side of caution not cowboy territory. Look elsewhere if you don't want to be scammed, other reviews show sloppy work and late filings. Will be following this up with the Ombudsman should I not get a prompt reply.
