This company used to be very professional, after the founder retired and then died, professionalism has gone down the toilet.

Anglia freight delivered a pallet of horse bedding to us this week. We received a call notification regarding the delivery with an approximate time. Delivered on time and the delivery driver was very courteous and helpful, he used his electric pallet truck to place the pallet exactly where we needed it. This is the 2nd time they have delivered to us and both were 5 stars. Highly recommend.
Not even sure where to begin. As a Dispatch Admin, i deal on a daily base with Anglia Freight. Customer support on the phone is top notch. Everybody is always cheerful,polite and helpful. They always go above and beyond to sort out all requests. They deal with any problems we encounter. If a driver is hold up they will keep us updated constantly. They even deal with changes last minute. Two thumbs up and keep up the amazing work.
Came across a Anglia Freight driver going up the M25 who was making hand signals and rude faces at me when I did not move lanes for him (I couldn’t as was not safe to pull into the fast lane) and then proceeded to speed down a 50 road. Not sure about their services but I wouldn’t want him delivering to me.
Absolutely awful experience with this Company. The driver seemed intent on not delivering to us looking for every excuse to have to redeliver at additional costs. He spent the first 10 minutes arguing that he couldn’t deliver on a gravel driveway as his pump truck wouldn’t work. Simple resolve we offered to carry the 12 small boxes of tiles off the van , but that’s against company policy so wouldn’t allow us to help. Then he stated that he had run out of time, company policy he was to leave after 15 minutes waiting time. After lots of phone calls to the company he allowed us to carry the tiles. In total we had 9 people on site to help. Comically he lift the doors on his van to see a solitary small pile of boxes (enough tiles to do our shower) and nothing else in the van. 2 men working in the house jumped into the van and carried them off. What a complete waste of time, the young delivery driver was obstructive and clearly didn’t see any issue with driving off with the tiles that should of been delivered the day earlier. Unsure he has bought into the Company values that they state on their website. I personally would avoid this company at all costs as undue stress for everyone involved.
I've worked here fo 11years as an HGV tramper driver. Wouldn't want to work anywhere else right now. Friendly team and everybody knows your name, you're not just a number here
Driver refused to deliver my pallet as I didn’t have a forklift truck even though he had a pump truck and tail lift. I was then forced to pay an extra £25+ vat for re delivery!!! Shocking company avoid at all costs!!
It's OK to work there if you like day work. I always put this company down but after working temp at some of the others they are one of the better companies out there .
I made the mistake of not noticing the modestly proportioned stop sign outside the yard and pulled in ( no other outside haulers were in the yard and the yard was quiet ) A friendly forklift driver pointed out my error and directed me to the drivers reception to book in. I was told to leave the yard by a supervisor who'd witnessed my error and stop at the stop sign and then book in. Once parked I went and booked in and was told I'd have to wait as the forklift driver was busy unloading someone on the ramp already. The funny thing was I'd driven past the ( empty ) ramp and the forklift driver had waved at me and told me to go on the ( empty ) ramp. After a short wait outside the yard at the stop sign I was called back in and directed to back on to the ramp. All the forklift drivers were friendly and the one that unloaded my container was professional and did a cracking job. The supervisor on duty obviously thought I should be taught a lesson even though I'd apologised. Rules are rules!! but common sense in lower management is optional perhaps.... That said, I was in the wrong.......
