I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding an incident that occurred at Aldi, Church Lane, Bedford, on 30/12/2025. While completing my shopping, I realised at the till that I had gone over my budget. I therefore chose to pay Β£76 for the essential items and left a few items in the trolley. After completing payment, the cashier (a male with ginger hair and piercings) demanded that I personally return the unpaid items to the shelves. I was shopping with four children at the time. Despite feeling uncomfortable, I remained polite and returned the items to where I had taken them from. On my way out, I calmly explained to the cashier that I felt disrespected and that it was inappropriate to expect a customer to restock items after payment. In response, he stated that he had been told that I βalways do this.β This statement was both inaccurate and offensive. I am a new customer at this store and am only visiting Bedford from London. I do not regularly shop at this Aldi, and the accusation was completely unfounded. I found the cashierβs behaviour unprofessional, disrespectful, and upsetting, particularly in front of my children. I believe customers should be treated with courtesy and not made to feel embarrassed or accused without cause. I would appreciate this matter being investigated and appropriate feedback given to the staff member involved. Yours faithfully,

Great place stuff is cheaper here plus at certain times has popular makes that you would buy in other stores.

I love Aldi shops and will choose those over any other supermarket. But this is the worst Aldi I have ever shopped at. Zero management, no proper checks are done on the products on shelves as last time I had to dig through 20 packs of tomatoes before I found one that did not contain mouldy tomatoes. Rude shop assistants, never any tills open only self check out, when you ask if they can open a regular till as I have a full trolley they are clearly annoyed. And it must be the coldest Aldi on the planet, its always FREEZING in there (not only in fridge ailes). Time to switch to another store I guess...

Just wanted to show my appreciation for the young man, working at the store today, he literally swept me off my feet with his dance skills and twirled me down the isle. You made me smile, thank you. I also noticed how hard you were working, rushing around the store helping people with their shopping and filling shelves. You are a true credit to the organisation x

Nice and tidy store in Putnoe. Shelves are usually well stocked, and everythingβs easy to find. Prices are very reasonable, as expected from ALDI, and the quality of fresh produce is surprisingly good. Staff are helpful and quick at the tills, which keeps the queues moving. Convenient location with enough parking too. Great for a regular weekly shop without the fuss.

Rudest staff I have ever come across, no manners and the branch manager is no exception (rudeness must be a job requirement). Store is a mess! Would rather spend double and go Tesco then shop here.
