   They left me stranded for hours in the middle of the night. Awful service. I was told the recovery truck would be with me at 12:30am. I called back at 1:15am and was told there was an issue with the recovery truck and they were sourcing me another. It NEVER came. I ended up having to pay a local repairman to help me. I hope at the very least start rescue will reimburse this. What is the point in paying for roadside rescue when they do not help you. I am a vunerable person and was just left to struggle in the early hours of the morning. Won’t ever bother calling for help from yourselves in the future because how can I trust that I will get the help I pay for. Avoid this company.

   Terrific service from Start Rescue! Only the second time I’ve had to call upon them but each time, I’ve been fortunate not to wait any longer than an hour. Just a minor blip this time (flat battery) but still impressed with their swift service and polite, friendly mechanic.

   I’ve been a member at Start Rescue for 2 years and I am a very satisfied customer. I’ve only needed to use them twice but each time I was left highly satisfied. My most recent experience was 8/12/25 and my car wouldn’t start at home. I used the Start Rescue App to report the breakdown and the experience was so straight forward. The app informed me of the likely time that the breakdown recovery service would arrive and where it was coming from. The garage assigned to me was Ponton Main Services and the mechanic was Tom. He was so good. Very professional, efficient and he quickly diagnosed the problem. I asked him lots of questions and nothing was too much trouble. He was friendly and kind and he explained what I needed to do next and ensured I was safe prior to leaving. I’d recommend Start Rescue to anyone.

I normally find companies totally ignore feedback you give but not Start Rescue, I received a phone call from them and they acknowledged and resolved my comment. I have no problem in recommending them.

   I've been with startrescue for 4 years and finally broke down after over 30 years of driving. Bewildered and anxious as I was on the slip road of the A30 in the dark with 2 dogs in the back I called for help. I received a calm and clear response with direction to call the police as it was a dangerous place. (Luckily, the police were passing and assisted me too). They sent me update texts and I also had a call every 15 minutes to check I was safe. I was recovered in 50 minutes. I felt very safe and very grateful for a fantastic service at a low price. Highly recommended.

   I unfortunately broke down yesterday evening with my children in the car just off a dual carriage way, I had recently taken out a breakdown policy with start rescue based on reviews I had read. I have to say I was not let down Start rescue where quick in answering the phone and did everything to talk me through the next steps and offered me so much reassurance! They made sure I was quickly recovered due to my location and young passengers on board and even made sure I could track the location of the breakdown recovery and gave a great time estimate and I also recieved a call to let me know when the breakdown vehicle was nearby. I believe the call handler who took my call was Luke, he was great calming and reassuring! I would highly recommend Start rescue and I am very pleased with the price I paid.

   I had to use them this week when the clutch failed on the car when it was on the drive. The app reporting was so easy and notifications were great. I had to request a call back a couple of times as i had questions and to my surprise I was called back as promised by Lisa each time. Because it was the clutch, the car could only be recovered to a garage of my choice and the company, J&K Autos, were brilliant too. Great customer service. I would definitely recommend them to anybody.

   Start rescue services are much cheaper than the big guys. AA RAC etc. They seem to use local contractors rather than having a distinct fleet, I think this works to their advantage. I've used them about 3 times over the last 8 years and they've always turned up very quickly, within a couple of hours, last time was 45 minutes. Excellent service.

   Brilliant service! I had issues with my phone and the app, but I called and spoke to Rachel who advised my rough ETA and from logging my breakdown to Jim from Cedars arriving, was less than half an hour. I had a follow up call an hour or so later from Callum (I think, sorry I didn't catch your name). Really impressed with the speed of service I received; from arrival to job-done was about 20 minutes. I've been a customer for a few years now and used the service a few times - have my cover on auto-renew. Thank you!

   I have only given them 4* due to never having to use their services. If I did have to call them, then I would adjust my rating to suit. They are excellent value for money and quite a bit cheaper than the main 4. They are also rated highly by Which for 4 years running, so they can't be wrong. Their 3* plan offers a lot for just a little under £31 if you don't need Europe cover. They offer a 10% discount for each year you do not make a claim.
