My experience with Waveney as an insurance broker has been extremely disappointing and stressful from the beginning. When I first contacted them to arrange coverage, I provided all necessary information and was asked to make payment. I requested to review the documentation before proceeding, and upon doing so, I discovered in the fine print that the insurer they recommended did not provide cover in the event of a collision, which defeats the purpose of having insurance. I spent nearly two weeks going back and forth with Waveney trying to understand why such a clause was included. They were either unwilling or unable to follow up with the insurer, and instead continued to push me toward taking out the policy. In the end, I had to go with a different provider, which cost me more and caused unnecessary stress. More recently, I decided to leave Waveney. When I requested my No Claims Bonus, it contained incorrect information and referenced a claim from over a year ago that had already been confirmed by the insurer as not my fault. I had previously been told that the insurer contacted Waveney to resolve it, yet nothing had been done. When I called to address the issue, the response from Waveney was dismissive and unhelpful. I was told it was my responsibility to sort it out, even though it clearly should have been handled by them. The tone of the email correspondence I received was also unnecessarily rude. Only after persistent follow-up did someone eventually resolve the matter. And agreed that they should have sorted it/ communicated with the insurance they provided. (Different person responded) Overall, Waveney failed to provide the level of service expected from a professional broker. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic support made the entire process far more stressful than it needed to be. I would not recommend their services. As there is no point in paying more for a broker who doesn’t do basic tasks that should be provided by them.

Not worth of time. I have been booked for a quotation for new insurance for today at 11 and have been waiting for a call for over 40 mins time. No one has called me. I had to rearenge a day to be able to answer this call by changing/cancelling lessons. Really unprofessional, I would recommend looking elsewhere if you looking for insurance.

Devious and conniving. No empathy. I was sick and was not able to send some documentation and they cancelled my policy and had to folk out around £400 extra to reinitiate the same policy. I insured another car through them previously and was asked to send my no claims discount from previous insurer which I did and it was for 6 years and then 1 year would make my total no claims of 7 years. However this lady on the phone now tells me that they don’t combine the no claims which is not what I was made to understand when I insured with them for my other car where they used the mirror no claims. Once I left Waveney they did not give me my no claims which should be 7 years. When insuring my other car with this insurer they saying that I have no years of no claims discount do want to rip me off further. She also said that the 6 years from my previous insurer cannot be applied as this policy is not active and also when this was applied on my previous car the 6 years of NCD and 1 year with them cannot be combined. So the bottom line is that no matter how long you have your NCD you tend to loose this if you change insurance providers according to Waveney Group. This is a rigged system to take more and more money from hardworking desperate people to fill their rich coffers. Avoid this company they are complete rip off and very confusing and customer reps who would not listen and just keep repeating company policies and not anting to listen and cannot reason with them as they probably trained to say or do things so that the customers always loose our and they get the maximum money off you even though you will never claim a penny from them. In this very confusing system of insurance I have been insured for over 10 years now with never claiming anything from any of these insurers but yet seem to have nothing to show for it when it comes to no claims discount as changing providers somehow according to what I have been made to believe through Waveney that I have no proof of NCD even though I had proof from my previous providers but as sooon as I changed to Waveney I have lost all not through claims but through rigged system of insurance. I wish I could score zero for this company and I will look into lodging a complaint against this company.

Currently a customer l received a renewal quote which was £100 dearer than last year. I rang several times to discuss but was on hold for 20 minutes each time. I then tried the callback option but when they rang back I answered immediately but as soon as I said hello they hung up. Tried Adrian Flux, got through straight away and got £80 off.Job done goodbye Waveney.
