I took my French bulldog puppy Gizmo for a puppy pamper he looked so clean and fresh and absolutely smelt amazing. I can't thank the staff they are friendly talk over what you require and check for allergies etc very professional.I would definitely recommend using them you won't be disappointed.
I booked an appointment with Short Bark & Sides nearly a month ago for my dog, Bella. This was our first time using them, and I was initially hopeful based on our phone conversation and their reviews. During that initial call, I spoke directly with the manager and explained that Bella had been mistreated at a previous groomer, which left her with inflamed ears and required a vet visit. I was very clear about her being sensitive around her face and paws, and the manager reassured me they’d be happy to take her on and that they always handle dogs with care and understanding. On the morning of the appointment, I sent a polite message to kindly remind them of Bella’s sensitivities, to ask for gentle handling, a nail trim, and for hypoallergenic shampoo and conditioner to be used. These are reasonable and standard requests for a dog with a difficult grooming history. Instead of a confirmation, I received a message canceling the appointment just a few hours before it was due. They said my message made them feel “uneasy,” particularly because I mentioned taking pre-grooming photos (which I did simply as a precaution given Bella’s history). They stated they no longer felt comfortable grooming her and would be refunding my deposit. This last-minute cancellation, especially after a month-long wait and clear communication from the start, felt very unprofessional and disappointing. As a new client who did everything to be upfront and cooperative, I expected reassurance—not refusal. I’m sharing this experience so others—especially those with dogs who need a little extra care—are aware that concerns, even when raised in a respectful and proactive way, may not be received well here.
Mya our Cavapoo had her first groom today and we're absolutely delighted with it. Mya wasn't stressed at all when I picked her up and the staff were brilliant. Thank you so much.
Harlow (my almost 4 yr old cocker spaniel) has been coming here for 3 years for both daycare and grooming. She adores it, the staff are brilliant with her and all the other furry clients. Wouldn't take her anywhere else ❤️
I have never left a review but I feel that this is needed: Took my doggie there yesterday, he was super anxious going in but coming out, he was FULL of smiles! It was pretty emotional to see. I was anxious about leaving him, but seeing him come out happy has really made me thankful that I took him here ❤️ The girls explained everything they did to calm him and comfort him during - they even kept a check on his heart rate! My dog hates having his nails done, to the point of refusing and running away from it - they managed to clip them, proving how professional and caring they are towards their dogs. My dog came out smelling lovely, super fluffy and shiny. I’m just in shock how smooth everything went. I have already booked another appointment. I cannot thank you all enough, you’re all a wonderful bunch ❤️

I honestly can't say how wonderful the staff are, they have taken such good care of my little fur baby Benji, his tail wags the minute we pull up outside. And I get a peaceful night as he is so exhausted after a full fun day of playing. If you are looking for lovely staff to look after your little one, this is the place to go. Thank you
The best place for your fur-babys. Top quality service always. The ladies are always happy to help and so professional. My cockapoo absolutely loves going to day care. He so excited when we pull up outside, i cant get him out the car quickly enough. He runs straight in and is always greeted with a big fuss. His excitement to be there just shows how well he's treated. When he is groomed, his coat is always cut lovely and he smell absolutely delicious. You've got everything you need under one roof. I couldn't reccomend this place enough
It was our first time at this dog groomers, we were thrilled to bits how Molly our Labrador came home looking and smelling amazing. So pleased that we have booked Molly in again for a makeover just before Christmas. Excellent service. Would recommend to anyone.
