   I’ve previously reviewed this barbershop as five stars a few years ago (see below). However, after several great cuts from the owner I found myself increasingly being allocated the trainees who weren’t the best. We all have to learn, but I believe you should have the choice as a paying customer. Particularly as this barbershop charges more than those in the area and no reduction was offered. Something other shops do and I’ve taken up. After a few years had gone by I today thought I’d give MadAlfs another go. I booked an appointment for this evening at 18:00. I received a confirmation text, the offer of adding the appointment to my phone calendar (which I did) and a reminder text an hour before the scheduled appointment time. I arrived at the shop with my daughter in tow at 17:50 only for it to be in darkness. My daughter then read a sign stating that they were closed all day on Mondays. Fantastic! *Original review* First visit this weekend and I was impressed. Staff knew their onions and were happy to give styling and product advice after my cut. I'll be going back next time!

   I will definitely be taking my toddler back, I didn’t catch the name of the lady who cut my sons hair but she was amazing with him as it was his first haircut, amazing job!

   Went in with my son for a haircut. Two women taking ages to cut two guys hair. One member of staff filling holes in the floor?! They were trying to get some music playlist working and were struggling. Didnt see any stickers up saying they paid to broadcast music. That aside after numerous guys dropping in and chatting to the staff I could see I'd be in for a long wait, so we left. Wont be going back
