Took a party of four 12 year olds for the pirate room experience and quite enjoyed watching them try and solve the clues. Initially there was no help needed, other than where to start, and they progressed well, but started to slow as the clues got trickier. Although they didn't make it out in time, it felt like they were in the final stages and it was a good chance for them to work together and see their different abilities. They all agreed they'd had a good time and wanted to come back to try the spy room next. From an adult point of view, the game seemed challenging enough for adults to enjoy as well, there were parts that the kids worked out that I hadn't done, so it shows that it takes all sorts of skills and lateral thinking to complete the game and escape. A fun experience!

My friend and our 2 children did the Royal Palace Escape room today. The host was excellent and it was a really good escape room. Not too easy and not too hard. The host gave us a few clues when needed and let us stay to the end. Thankyou for a great day!

Our 1st time in an escape room. Always wanted to do it and got our hands on the palace story which we thought would be interesting. Though we managed to find all clues on time, didn't really know how to solve some of them, until the host spoke over the walkie talkie. Jay was good enough to give us more time to complete the entire thing and escape. It was a good experience overall

The session was slightly late starting (possibly due to it being busy). We were rushed into the room and the host rattled through his instructions at such a speed we couldn't understand what he was saying. Room wise, firstly I must point out the host actually locked the door. There was no emergency exit. We have never actually been locked in an escape room before and I think this is a major health and safety issue. The room wasn't the most well presented we have been to; visually there could be huge improvements. The props and puzzles are poor in quality and condition. We had to ask for a couple of clues on the walkie talky provided, the clues given were not always relevant to the part of the game we were at and again we struggled to understand what was being said to us as the hosts level of English was not the best (no offence intended, so apologies). The host also told us how to solve puzzles rather than dropping hints too which was a shame. It was challenging and entertaining overall though. After the session, we opened the door and there was no real guidance so we assumed we were meant to just leave, and did. The location was convenient as we were staying in one of the hotels around the corner in the Hub area so we're able to walk. We both agree we wouldn't go back here again as there are far better escape rooms about but we had a laugh.

Absolutely amazing experience. The host was informative and very polite. Did the spy room today and was well worth it. Such a fun experience. Would recommend to anyone! Just fantastic.

We booked this as a group of 5 for a Christmas treat. The communication is not great as we needed to change the time of our booking, which I did via phone, but on the morning of the session got an email confirmation for the original time. A phone call to them reassured me that we were OK to come at the reviewed time and that the email was an auto one. Once we arrived we had to wait a while before we got in, the owners were polite but we were just left waiting. The description of the room and how to play was good, the walkie talkie left for us was a novelty and the fact we could take our belongings in was unlike any other room I've been in. We did the Palace room. It was challenging but we managed to escape in time, with some very well timed clues given and all clues we asked for did help. It sometimes took a second time of the owner describing to us what may need to be done. Not all clues made sense and a lot of the room and accessories were tatty and worn (polystyrene box at one point that did not really match the action required for it). It is cheaper than most escape rooms so I guess you get what you pay for. We enjoyed it and escaped, but a bit of money needs reinvesting to bring it up to par with others. I don't think I would return but we did enjoy the challenge.

I’m shocked there as so many positive reviews here. My boyfriend and I went here a couple of years ago having been to lots of other escape rooms throughout the country and have marked this is the absolute worst ever since. The budget is nonexistent resulting in terribly designed rooms, props and puzzles. Some cards in our room were “laminated” and sticky to the touch, the “clues” given to us were our game master telling us what to do and the whole experience was an absolute waste of money and time. So disappointed in the atrocious quality of this experience. Don’t go here!!

We are a family of 5 various ages and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Well worth the money! The staff were very friendly and answered all our questions before hand. We did the Palace plot........ This was a really good room. Although we had to ask for some clues we still really enjoyed it. Will definitely book again

Grest experience and loads of fun. We got out with 4 minutes left. They accidentally double booked us but were able to provide another room for us which we were all fine with. Went for my wifes birthday
