   Guns Florist in Brighton is one of those places that looks like it should offer a transcendent little retail moment, all artfully arranged dried blooms and moody colours, but the customer service has the warmth of a tax audit. I went in to pick up dried flowers for my mum’s birthday and was greeted by an older woman, late forties, give or take, who delivered every word with the enthusiasm of someone being forced to read the terms and conditions aloud. Abrupt, dismissive, and visibly pained by the idea of actually selling the flowers. When I gave my mum the bouquet, she immediately said, “Oh no, was it the rude old lady?” and then launched into her own tales from their Hove shop, where apparently the same energy, if not the same woman, presides like a cranky guardian of the chrysanthemums. We ended up laughing because yes, I saw her too, and yes, she was terrible. The flowers, to be fair, are beautiful, but buying them feels like a punishment.

   I usually frequent the Gunns in Brighton but I received these flowers from the Hove branch as a gift and they’re gorgeous! The lovely bouquets are always made to the colour scheme and budget required. Got given these almost 2 weeks ago and they’re still as fresh as the first day!

   Brilliant staff , lovely people on the phone, the bouquet I ordered my mum was everything and more than I expected and Mum said the delivery driver was lovely too. I've used Gunns North St for years and was reluctant to use another branch but i couldn't be happier. Thankyou. Happy Christmas to Gunns.

   I usually shop in Brighton's Florist but today having popped to Hove branch I wasn't impressed with the customer service! Flowers, both potted and cut are always in impeccable conditions and just being there is a lovely experience. Ladies are always lovely informative - but not today. Not sure whether the lady working there is new but gave me an impression of rude and I felt more like a nuisance than a customer! I appreciate That we are all anticipating Mothering Sunday and florists are busy but after all they are for us - Customers.

   Today I received the most gigantic and beautiful bouquet that I have ever seen in my life, my eyes were welling up at the door and I cried tears of joy as soon as the door shut. Outstanding! Absolutely made my birthday. Thank you so much. My partner had asked for a tropical theme and boy did you nail it. As said before, ignore those 'no comment' suspicious 1 star reviews, this is a florist you can trust to wow your loved ones and leave a lasting impression. I know where I will be going in future. Special thanks to the talented person who put it all together 10/10.
