I've been going to the hidden tannery for quite a while now and it's one one of my favourite studios. I mainly get tattoos from pozantattoo however I do have one from adambeardless aswell. I can say Both artists are so incredibly talented, welcoming, friendly and caring. I cannot recommend them enough
Had the absolute pleasure of visiting this studio recently across two sessions. My artist (Adam) was not only incredibly professional in the practice of tattooing but as an artist his own right. He was very welcoming and personable, and open to my suggestions whilst also offering seasoned advice. All leading to one of the nicest tattooing experiences I've had to date. This studio really is a hidden gem, pun intended! Its in close proximity to Brighton Station, with convenient transport links and amenities nearby. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area, or if you're not local like myself then well worth the visit!
I went to the Hidden Tannery to meet Max (El Pozan) for a half sleeve piece around 6 weeks ago. I can only speak in the highest regard about the artwork, the setting and of Max himself. The studio itself feels very intimate, very personal to one’s experience. The artwork around the room showcases the talent of both artists who work within its walls, and feels like you are becoming a part of their artistic story, rather than simply being another customer. The process of planning, booking and undertaking the tattoo was very smooth and hassle-free. I had an idea of what I wanted from quite early on. Max was able to embrace this and produce a piece that surpassed my expectations. He did it all in one session, but with the most delicate and caring approach possible. The quality of the shading astounds me, and the attention to detail is incredible. Max was an absolute joy to meet. Friendly from the first minute, clear with his communication from the moment I reached out to him, and incredibly kind and supportive during the session. His artwork speaks for itself, he is supremely talented. Yet, he also took the time to get to know me, converse throughout the day and deliver a wonderful experience overall. The healing process was also very easy-going. The bedding-in of the ink took only a matter of days and there was minimal irritation whatsoever. If I could six stars for this review, I most certainly would, but 5 will have to do for now. I implore, if you are considering getting a tattoo, reach out to the Hidden Tannery and talk to Max or Adam. It won’t just be the tattoo you gain, but memories of an enjoyable process in planning, designing and getting your tattoo. Thank you Max, and I can’t wait to come back to the studio soon.
I had the most wonderful tattoo experience with Adam. Such a kind, attentive and talented artist, Adam’s design exceeded my expectations and he made sure the sizing and placement was absolutely perfect and exactly what I wanted. The tattoo studio is such a lovely, clean space and easy to locate. I’ve been looking for the perfect artist for this tattoo/design for years and Adam brought my dream to life, in a such a way that genuinely left me speechless. Adore my new tattoo and couldn’t recommend Adam more!
It's getting rarer nowadays to come across a tattoo studio with artists that put the client first - that wanna work with you to create something meaningful - that really just care about you leaving with something you love and they can be proud of with you. The artists at The Hidden Tannery are those very artists I came to Maxime (check the Insta @_pozantattoo_ ) with an idea and he fell in love with it, eager to research and really help translate my ideas into something artistic and tasteful. A few weeks later I wasn't sure anymore about it, and rather than sending me off and keeping the deposit, he encouraged me to sit down and come up with something new that mattered deeper to me, that we could bring to life together, even if it meant getting a smaller tattoo When I did just that, he took my design and perfected it, and worked with me to bring me a piece far more beautiful, more meaningful, and more important to me than I ever would have considered getting done. I'm completely grateful to him for his artistry, his welcoming nature, his encouragement, and his tolerance of my uncertainty haha Also, of course, the fundamentals are perfect: studio, comfort, cleanliness, skill -- top tier! Everyone needs a tattoo from here
From first entering the shop to leaving I felt very comfortable and welcomed and found it very easy to get along with Pozan. As for my tattoo, I couldn’t be happier nor fault it as he did exactly what I wanted and the detail is perfect. Before beginning the session and during he also explained to me his idea on the shading and why just to ensure that I was happy with this. I’d 100% recommend this studio if you’re wanting a quiet, comfortable and friendly experience as well as a perfectly executed tattoo. I’ll definitely be there again in the future for new pieces.
Very relaxed and welcoming environment for everyone. both the guys working there are really friendly and chilled making sure you’re comfortable with everything. would really recommend this place to anyone looking to get their next/first tattoo! this is the piece i got done by Adam. I wanted a tattoo for a long time, and I came across Pozans work through Instagram I loved his style and booked an appointment. Communication and interaction was incredible, we FaceTimed A couple of days before the appointment and he started sketching designs in front of me, I was taken through the whole process of the design and how it would look and had 100% control if I wanted to change anything (I didn’t want to as his design was incredible) on the day he took me through everything that was going to happen, as it was my first tattoo I was very nervous. Incredibly friendly and an amazing artist, I will definitely be coming back here for my next tattoo 100% recommend
