   Lovely restaurant. Food was very nice. Unfortunately I didnt take any pictures. I had a bowl of tomatoes and red pepper soup. A hot chicken wrap with salad and coleslaw. My friend had ham egg and chips. It was quite expensive I thought. They had lovely dessert but we declined. I would go again for a special treat.

   I had the southern fried chicken wraps with chips & salad & it was absolutely delicious! Everything was cooked/made to perfection! When entering the pickle & pie I was greeted with a smile and friendly customer service and was seated and gave a menu to order, the atmosphere was great! Loads of happy customers, everyone seemed to be enjoying the food and facilities! I really enjoyed everything about Pickle & Pie and would highly recommend you pop in and pay a visit! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

   We decided to pop in on a Sunday morning for some breakfast and unfortunately had a rather mixed experience. Firstly, as someone that had not visited before, it was tricky to understand where to enter. The sign at the front said that the main entrance was round the back, however when we found it we had to walk through the tables to get to a front desk without any guidance from staff. This felt a bit awkward as we weren't sure where to head or who to talk to. Staff generally were accomodating, however some of the service felt a little bit cold and from observing during our wait, it seemed to be very variable depending on the customer. We were told that there would be a 30 minute wait for food which was fine, however there was another table that arrived after us who had their order taken first which was frustrating as we had already been waiting around 10 minutes. The place was about half full, and though it didn't feel incredibly busy, it did seem as though staff were feeling rushed. The food took around 45 minutes to arrive and was tasty. I did notice however that my plate had a reasonably thick layer of oil under everything, which having had a cooked breakfast many times before is not something that I come across too often. I understand that of course with fried food this is a hazard, however this time It did make the food feel heavier and less palatable at times. The place itself felt as though there was little atmosphere, which we couldn't quite put our finger on. I'm not sure if this was a result of no ambient noise (radio, music etc.) or because of the way that the place is laid out. We were sat very close to another couple which was slightly uncomfortable when it didn't seem completely necessary with tables that were available. I don't think I would go out of my way to return, and probably wouldn't recommend to others, however I also wouldn't say it was a terrible experience by any stretch.

   Called in here today. Staff are really friendly and accommodating. Seated easily and quickly. Ordered food which arrived in a sensible time. Unfortunately we weren't that happy with our food. We wanted a ploughman's and questioned the details of the ploughman's as the menu wasn't clear. A ploughman's is a pretty generic meal, we have had several. We ordered 2 ploughman's as that's all we fancied. What we received wasn't a ploughman's sadly. The food was edible and nothing wrong with it accept is wasn't a ploughman's, it was a ham salad really. One of us had a cheese ploughman's, one of us had ham and we split them.

   We had a really nice meal here. The food was excellent and the staff were really helpful and very friendly. They were very busy when we went but we were made to feel welcome and really enjoyed our meal. We'll definitely be visiting again.
