Love this place. First visit today after looking for a new tattoo artist. I wouldn't say it was pain free, but it was the most relaxing tattoo I've ever had, considering it was central chest area. Chris is very knowledgeable about his tattooing, and is a very skilled artist.
My daughter 11 had her first lobes today. The service was amazing, personable, reassuring and hygienic - 5 stars
I've been in twice to Blackgate Ink to get a tattoo from Chris. My favourite tattoo's and good company when getting it done. Look forward to coming back to get my rib cover up done and eventually finishing my arm and getting my scars covered ( a sensitive conversation but chris made me feel truly safe and comfortable) top bloke!
Chris is honestly the most skilled tattoo artist I've ever been to. He has covered a couple of my dreadful mistakes to a very high standard and given me 7 amazing tattoos along the way...I honestly wouldn't trust anyone else with my skin and would recommend him in a heartbeat. Plus he's an awesome dude xx

I was introduced to Blackgate studios by my sister 3 years ago its a Great place to go.Louise does mine and my 2 daughters piercings. Great value deals on pricing, she takes her time( no rush ) and is very patient and gives you lots of advice for piercing aftercare. I would definitely recommend her to anybody I know.
I had 2 piercings recently and I have to say from start to finish, Louise was professional, reassuring and friendly. A perfectionist! Lovely, clean workspace. Also, the prices were really worth it and included pretty cubic zirconia jewellery options. As someone who loves sparkles, this was perfect! Thank you for my piercings!! I love them :D

Can’t fault Blackgate at all. Had both sides of my nose & septum done by Louise & was the easiest experience ever. Louise is so gentle and patient with you and she is such a perfectionist! She moved my piercings multiple times before she was happy with the placement which just shows how attention to detail she really is. Aftercare is on point & all my piercings healed perfectly. The studio is clean and the whole atmosphere is so chill! No question is too silly for Lou. Recommend her to everyone I meet. The best of the best xxx
I have had 5 piercings done by Blackgate Ink.. and honestly 5 star all the way! Louise is a brilliant person to get a piercing, she explains everything from how she’s going to mark your body for the piercing you’re getting, keeping you calm and relaxed throughout the whole thing! Then explains aftercare! Honestly the best person to go to for a piercing. I have recommended her to my friends and I will definitely continue going to get piercings!! Thank you Louise!!
