Clean and tidy store, friendly staff, prices on most products are often cheaper with a trade card than competitors, especially if they're on offer.

First and definitely last time I will visit this store! Called in to buy cable to fit an electric cooker, no floor staff to be seen so I approached the lad on the checkout (who looked totally disinterested in being there) was the cable I was showing him the correct one? To which he replied "I don't know, we're not allowed to help" then who is??????

I ordered a worktop using click and collect. I arrived at the appointed time and followed the instructions to enter my details and wait in my vehicle. There's a 5 minute count down, during which your order arrives and you can get help loading it, but after 5 mins, the counter stopped and I got the message to go in the store as no-one was available to bring the order out. I explained to the lady on the till, that I wouldn't have needed to wait outside, if I'd got the message to come in straight away to be greeted by silence, no apology and no explanation, just ignored. She bought the worktop out on a trolley and asked if I'd like help to load, I said yes, and she called an individual by name to help. I told her where I was parked and said I'd wait by the van with my trolley. 5 minutes, no-one came so I did it myself, which was awkward and heavy. The lady on the till is an ever present at the store, it's not the first time I've been greeted with studied indifference. I like Wickes as a store, it's products are good and reasonably priced, my initial experience could have been much improved with a smile or an explanation.

Waste of time - turned up at 1pm on a bank holiday to buy some things for garden, section closed and told they’ll hopefully open in next 10 minutes. Complete waste of time, it’s a bank holiday Monday in May and don’t have garden section open, clueless!! Heading to B&Q and won’t be back if that’s how store is run.

The store is big but easy enough to find what you need easily, my go to is normally B&q as a place to get anything and everything DIY but I will be now considering Wickes more often. The store was really quiet and so easy to find what is needed. Easy to find spaces outside too.

Wickes used to be the go to place for me for DIY supplies. Firstly they failed to deliver items I ordered on line, so I had to go to the store, which was being updated and in total chaos. Stock levels were appalling with most items either not available or limited stock, so ended up going elsewhere. Not a patch on what Wickes used to be, although the changes to the store are an improvement

I was given a list of things to get from a builder working at my house. A member of staff could clearly see that I was struggling trying to work out measurements and find items on the list. Lesley the supervisor was absolutely brilliant, working measurements out in her head for me and taking me around the store to get items on the list. I cannot speak highly enough of her. She was so helpful. It makes a change to go into a store and have someone as knowledgeable as Lesley, as opposed to the usual response of I don’t know but could try and find out for you.

Had issue with item purchased from here. Rang customer service, they said i had to deal with the store, and they messaged the store manager. Rang the store and the manager wasn't interested. Poor product and terrible customer service. I will be taking matters further! Save your money and spend it with people who actually care.

The staff are very helpful here. It didn't use to be the case, but there has been improvement in customer service. It is just a little frustrating trying to get into the car park due to the queue for Mcdonalds.
