Went to Llanelli leisure centre today. It was dirty filthy and the shower didn't work properly and smelt awful. I never go again. Staff were pleasant.

Really disappointed with my first time going today with my 2 year old daughter for the public swim session at 10.30. Firstly let me be clear , Free parking , brilliant , reception staff , brilliant , staff at pool side , brilliant. Now the issues, as soon as we entered the changing rooms there's was a strong horrible smell, so much so my 2 year old said it was stinky !. The changing cubicles where dirty , with dirt on floors seats and dust on every ledge (again this is 10.30am so it's not had a kicking all day !). went out to pool side after booking public swim to find the main pool set up for lane swim and the leaning pool had a class in it . So standing there wondering what to do with my little girl. again staff were great explained the situation and they let me into an end lane but then had to move out of there into the small pool after 15 mins. like I said staff were really nice just very disappointed with the obvious miscommunication on what sessions were actually happing between the centre and their website and mostly the changing rooms. I simply won't go again given the state of the changing rooms. staff save this from a 1 star

Whether you’re a gym enthusiast, a swimmer, or just looking for a fun place to stay active, this centre has something for everyone. The gym is well-equipped with modern machines and free weights, providing everything you need for a great workout. The staff are always friendly, approachable, and willing to help with any queries. The swimming pool is clean and well-maintained, making it perfect for both casual swimmers and those looking to train. For families, the leisure centre offers a variety of activities, including fitness classes, badminton courts, and even a soft play area for younger children. The atmosphere is welcoming, and there is a real sense of community among visitors. One of the highlights is the range of group fitness classes available, catering to all ages and fitness levels. Whether it’s yoga, spinning, or high-intensity training, there’s something to suit everyone. The facilities are generally well-maintained, though at peak times it can get quite busy. Booking in advance for certain activities is recommended. Parking is convenient, and the centre is easily accessible. Overall, Llanelli Leisure Centre is a great place to stay active and social. With its excellent facilities and welcoming atmosphere, it’s a valuable asset to the local community. Highly recommended!

Could do with updating, as I was walking around my son needed the toilet, so I had taken him to the toilet by main entrance the male toilet looked like it was from a run down council house. More concerning was the fire door leading to the pool area which was held open by a weight off some sort, considering it had a fire rated door closure device fitted to the door. Also the fire rated strips fixed to the edge of the doors were covered in paint. I am pretty sure this is against fire safety regulations.
