Lovely market hall, exactly what one should be not the modern ones that sell street food. This one has cafes, cheese stall, big selection of sweets stall, butchers and much more. 10 out of 10 for clean and disable friendly toilets.

I like this market, have been quite a few times. Highlights for me include the book store and the knitting/crochet wool supplies store. There's plenty of home decor stores to look at and there are places to eat if that's your thing. Wish there were more vegan / plant based options or stalls here, but I am sure more will become available with time. Toilets are available and are normally clean and well-maintained. Looking forward to my next visit!

Actually this is called Victorian Market - Longton. At the past longton has two markets, but this is the first market was built. Second market was at commerce street, it was demolished in 1970s (dont know the actual year). This building has 200 year history, also was built with victorian style, that is the reason which is called victorian market. After built the market,it has rebuilt again on 1844 and 1862. It has morethan 200 stoles, but currently cant see morethan 50-60 stoles are opend. You can buy fresh meat, vegetables ,fruits ,groceries, dairy products, clothes ,shoes, books, gift shops, cafes and etc.... Market opens wednesday, friday and saturday till 9 am to 5 pm.

Went to buy some wool for my latest knitting project and the stall had a wonderful range of colours. The lady was very helpful too and was prepared to order anything I needed. Mmmm. When I say latest knitting project, I have only recently taken this up again so feel like a beginner. Just knitting me a cowl, knitting in the round.

Was in market trying to raise cash for a local charity. Well lit with nice level floor. Very tidy. Most stalls filled. Cafe in market. Warm . Clean, modern toilets. A great place to talk to the locals. People of Longton love a chat. I was shown great kindness and made most welcome by the stall holders. Lovely to see an old building still serving it's community and looking good.

I am of the age that I can remember Longton and its market packed with people walking around shopping and enjoying a day out just looking going to the swimming baths dancing but over the last few years under investment has resulted in what we see today many shops closed market stalls empty at one time you had to put your name on a list waiting for a stall to become available the remaining stall holders are working very hard to keep the market going but its a case of use it or loose it so sad its come too this affter what it used to bee like.

Always enjoy coming here. Love to shop for fruit, veg and cheese and the other odd bit we need. It was a phone case those time. Lovely atmosphere and some great bargains. Shame about the empty stalls.

A breath of fresh air, still a thriving indoor market, the sad point is that there are empty stalls. well organised market with fresh clean toilets. The market cafe is worth a visit, pleasent friendly atmosphere, the meals and snacks, coffee, tea are all really well priced and affordable and the quality is 5xxxxx. Be sure to visit the oatcake stall which sell top quality oatcakes, not too thin or too thick and of a decent size, excellent value for the money. What makes this and the town centre is the free parking on the car park by matalan and all close together, cafes and all sorts of shops make this place an all in pleasent shopping experience. Indoor market open Wednesday, Friday and saturday.well worth a visit.
