Very helpful at reception, whoever you see they’re all good. Doctors do referrals quickly and efficiently. Good practice.

My family and I have been registered with the Memorial Medical Centre for nearly twenty years and I cannot song the praises of all the staff highly enough. Always kind, professional and incredibly hard working to meet the needs of the many, many patients they deal with daily. It is fair to say that this is a busy surgery but that is the same of most surgeries up and down the country, the NHS is stretched beyond its limits and desperately needs more funding. This is most certainly not the fault of the staff and I have witnessed some terrible behaviour from patients over the years which is unforgivable. The doctors at the Memorial Medical centre are friendly, knowledgeable and super efficient. Sadly we have had to make many calls on them over the years and we have always been listened to and advised in full. One of the doctors suspected Leukaemia in our daughter and within 24 hours, she was tested and admitted to the Marsden for treatment. That doctor saved her life. It’s also almost forgotten now, how hard the staff worked during the COVID19 pandemic. They took dangerous risks every day to keep their community safe. They still are the heroes we all clapped for every week and in my opinion, they all deserve a golden handshake and an honour from the king.

Excellent professional and bespoke service every time.Yes it is hard to get an appointment but if you ring you can request a call back ,so no real dramas .All the staff are polite and friendly and doing their very best for all their patients.

I’ve had an extremely frustrating experience with this surgery. Communication is poor, and the staff are slow to respond. It has been over three months since I attempted to complete my online registration to order repeat prescriptions, and I’m still waiting for it to be resolved. Obtaining prescriptions has been unnecessarily difficult and time-consuming. My daughter recently had toe surgery, and her toe is now infected. She urgently needs antibiotics, but I am unable to get a prescription due to the surgery’s inflexibility in coordinating with the podiatrist. Additionally, getting a doctor’s appointment is near impossible. I was advised to call back in January just to potentially book an appointment. To make matters worse, the reception staff lack basic manners and professionalism, making an already stressful process even more challenging.

You never get an appointment, I have been calling for weeks. I have also lived here for over 1.5 years and they don't even have my files from previous doctor yet. ATROCIOUS!

Appalling service! Fobbed off with call 111/go to walk in/a&e repeatedly. My 18 month son has seen a gp face to face 3 times since he's been born despite us ending up in a&e and having to receive emergency GP care more often than not Today son sent home with impetigo- the advice "go to the walk in" What's the actual point of this practice

Somewhat unimpressed - after trying to call constantly in the 5 minutes the lines were open, at 08:35 I got the voicemail message that all appointments are booked. How few appointments are available when they can all get booked within 5 minutes? Unless they have a team of receptionists taking calls, and only a single practitioner actually available for appointments, I'm struggling to see how this is possible.

Took three weeks to get telephone appointment with 'gentleman's (bitting my tongue) to be told oh i don't do anything on a one off high BP. Through toys out pram told horrid little boy exactly what he had to do, got another lady on phone another 3 weeks wait for this, for it all to be sorted. But shock horror Doctor wants to see me in a month no appointments for 9 weeks. Yet I am given pills that need to be adjusted till they work properly. 57 hours on my January Feb March bill redialing and on hold to them. Only thing that works is a furious email attached to care quality commission and in one case ICO as they sent my daughter telephone on a referral. Absolutely shocking. But there are some excellent persons there if you find one.

If I could give them less than 1 star I gladly would. Just spent the last 40 mins on the phone trying to get to reception to make an appointment only to be told they're all gone. At 8:40 in the morning? The staff is highly incompetent as well, I remember about a year ago I called them to have a blood test done to measure hormone levels. When I got the call back with the results (about 3 weeks later BTW) the so called doctor started talking to me about vitamins in my blood and when I asked about thyroid hormones she had no idea what I was on about! Is that really the NHS some people are thanking every day for saving their lives? That's a joke!!!
