   Poor service from a manager or assistant manager. Buying a knife for home, got asked to show my ID. Fair enough, but i'm wearing my work attire, and have my car keys with me. So, i show my ID which is in my purse - i'm asked to take it out of my Purse (i've never been asked this before!). i cannot get it out of my purse due to the purse being new and tight, i explained that i cant take it out but the clear space is huge and you can clearly see my ID. The guy says that i MUST take out my ID or no sale. I ask him if he can get it out, he says he isnt aloud to try - alright. I struggle for a long time to get the driving licence out of my purse, he then takes it and looks over it in great detail, front and back, and even looks me up and down. he then keeps hold of my ID while the sale goes through. Disappointed and wont be shopping here again.

   My 19 year old daughter (a medical student) went into Nantwich store to buy some alcohol (leaving her 16 year old sister outside with a 20 year old friend). Store assistant (judge, jury and executioner) humiliated her by shouting at her and accusing her of buying drinks for the under aged. While I agree with checking in such circumstances, but there are ways of doing this that are totally inappropriate (such as shouting at people in front of other customers). I suspect the assistant would not have acted this way if I had done the same and therefore this is effectively age discrimination. I will be giving 'feedback' to the individual concerned and the store manager in person later today.

   Excellent discount store with a wide range of goods from food (well known brands cheaper than Aldi or Lidl!) to home furnishings, electrical goods, gardening equipment, chldrens clothes and toys.
