Once a lovely store. Gone down hill since the latest manager. Staff on their phones, chatting and ignoring customers. The staff on self service are the worse. Usually in a huddle talking or looking at their devices, while things need authorising or correcting. When they eventually do come to help, mostly quite nice, but a few take rudeness to a new level.

What has happened to this store since it opened? You have clowns running and working at this store now. If you’re not seeing a worker on their phones at the check outs then you’re seeing them on their phones around the corner while shopping. Staff are not friendly or helpful here, they rather stand around and talk. Self serve you have some times 3 staff members on self serve but when you need assistance, they keep chatting to one another.

We are regulars at this store and although the fruit and veg can be a bit below par, this definitely pales into insignificance because of the wonderful service provided by the excellent, helpful, friendly staff. Can't speak highly enough of their customer service.

The service here has gone terrible compared to when it first opened. Staff you see on their phones rather than help. On self serve if you need help and the red lights flashing showing you need help staff look away. Debby or Debra on checkouts shouldn’t be running checkouts with her attitude towards customers. She came towards me one day I thought she was going to lundge at me. She needs to smile more at customers to because she doesn’t seem approachable.

Ystradgynlais store, 0945 on Fri 17 Feb, no trolleys in the trolley bay, only two tills open, customers 6 deep waiting to get to a till. The store was very busy, more staff should have been on duty.

Fruit and veg often going off on purchase. Main complaint is that they don't do any salting in their car park which is lethal. Elderly folk skating around about to break bones when there are no ambulances and the NHS is under strain is just stupidity!! Shame on you Tesco!

Greetings, I would like to offer comment on our local Tesco; it's a great store, staffed and made so, by a great bunch of people. Ystradgynlais Tesco is to many customers, like a huge 'village corner shop'. The staff; know and greet many customers by name/they are ALWAYS polite, helpful & efficient within their area of expertise/the store is community minded in their area and even beyond/customers frequently congregate and natter in the store aisles. I would like to make a special mention here and say a big THANK YOU to Gaynor Tubbs; super human being, who has both empathy and understanding with regard to the community and more specifically, the charitable aspect of village life. Gaynor is approachable at all times and with the backing and support of our 'village' Tesco store management. She tries her best help when the request is genuine and verifiable. Gaynor, keep on doing what you do (so well) and we customers will keep on supporting our Tesco, the biggest hearted village corner store in our beautiful Ystradgynlais, here in the Swansea Valley!.

Good store. Helpful and polite staff. Produce is good quality, nice wide isles and decent amount of maned tills.
