I had fractured my ankle and a week later went into hospital for unrelated surgery which kept me bed bound for a another 2 weeks, this led to a painful lower back, painkillers were not helping much so on searching the web for a local practice to Daventry I found Heartlands. Claire Todd was the physio who helped me both to understand the back pain, the causes and within a very short time eliminate the pain altogether. The ankle fracture required a bit more work to help recover properly and again within a very short time I was able to walk without the use of crutches and have been given exercise routine plans to help the ankle to strengthen and repair. Claire listened carefully to how I was feeling and was very supportive and encouraging. I would happily recommend their services and would not hesitate to consult them first for any problems related to pain or problems relating to physical movement. I don't normally write reviews, but had to in this case. My son had been suffering for about 8 months following a serious ankle sprain (on crutches for a couple of months) and couldn't participate in football or running for longer than 10-15 minutes before having to stop despite his determination to keep trying. Once I'd got him referred to Claire Todd, his improvement in such a short space of time (about 6-8 weeks) was nothing short of amazing. He was back to his normal self in this short time frame thanks to the great care and an exercise programme aimed at his ankles, legs, core strength, balance, etc. I cannot recommend Claire enough! Birgit - Fabulous Having had problems in my left foot for over 12 months, went to see Birgit to ask for help - after 2 sessions discovered my Sacrum out of place and trapping nerves in my foot which were causing a burning sensation. The relief was immediate and as soon as I got up from the treatment couch knew that she had found the root cause - incredible ! No more tablets to deal with the pain - Happy Customer !

Having previously been treated by Claire for a knee problem, when my wife needed rehabilitation after discharge from hospital following surgery to remove a brain tumour, I had no hesitation in turning to Heartlands Physiotherapy. Claire was very accommodating, initially treating my wife at home and then at the Daventry Clinic. The treatment throughout was caring and best of all, personal; both my wife and I really appreciated the thought put into her care. We would certainly recommend Heartlands Physiotherapy as the place to go; well worth travelling the extra mile, wherever you live.
