   Sorry late in reviewing. Went to The Trent Country Club for a family funeral in August this year as it is in close proximity to Carmount side Cremetorium, and we wanted to be in close proximity as quite a number of people had travelled distances. Good Parking. We had a big room with access to outside tables as weather was hot. Buffet had lots of choice,and was more than enough for everyone, staff were very nice & regularly asked if anything was needed. People could choose to go to the bar and no complaints there. Building looks nice from the outside but feel that it needs updating and modernising on the inside, but it delivered what was needed on the day, which was very important. This venue could be so much more as there is nothing close by.

   Went here for a wake for a family funeral. Very pleased with it as a venue in terms of suitability and proximity to the crematorium. We had menu 3 and were very pleased with both the quality and quantity of food and also being value for money. The venue offers hire and catering for other different events and based on my experience I think would be very suitable.

   We held my mums funeral here and it was dreadful. We ordered catering for approx 100 people so they knew there would be a lot of people coming. I rang in advance and asked if we could keep the venue for more than the two hours they charge you for and was told that if people were still using the bar they would do. Unfortunately despite this information, they didn't see fit to ensure that "as a bar" they were sufficiently well stocked. They had four cans of Guinness in the fridge when we arrived. The Worthington ran out within half an hour. We asked if they could go and get some more and they were quite abrupt with my family members. No sincere apology was offered. We paid a lot for the food and the room and there was no discount offered for the poor service. We had been there half an hour and they had nothing left. One of the main criteria of a licensed venue is that they have sufficient stock. Quite frankly they were not up to the job. All 100 guests went to a different venue that didn't charge for the room and they accommodated us fantastically. Dont bother booking this place.

   The carvery is good. I've been many times it always is. It's just simply too expensive. 11 pound each. Myself my daughter and partner with 1 drink each is over 40 pound for a Sunday lunch. It's gone a lot quieter lately. You can always get a table unbooked. The owner is a great guy. Surely, drop it to 8.99 and triple your custom? I understand you want good class people, but with your location its too dear
