I great place to be for events like wedding and exhibitions. Great restaurants and quality room services. Ideal and less busy location for researchers.

Mitchell Hall Hotel is pleasant and convenient, with younger staff showing a warm and helpful demeanor. However, the more mature reception staff seemed to overlook the most basic and almost primary skill in customer service — offering a smile. A small gesture like this makes a big difference in creating a welcoming atmosphere, and its absence was noticeable.

Would 100% recommended this hotel. We stayed here for the British Grand Prix. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in, in the uk. Spotlessly clean, rooms comfortable with everything you need (towels, hair dryer, tea, coffee, fan) plus a daily maid service, breakfast every morning was really good and lots of choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Haven’t got a bad word to say about it.

✅ Very clean, I'd give 9/10 for cleanness. ✅ Bathroom was good size, nice and modern, with new-looking facilities. Very clean. ✅ Room facilities were nice and comfortable. Room size was good too. Big wardrobe - very useful. ✅ Big hotel, several lounges. Breakfast variety of food was OK; could be improved I think.

Whether you're planning a wedding, conference, or community event, it provides a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Set within picturesque grounds, the venue combines traditional architecture with modern facilities, offering spacious rooms equipped with up-to-date technology and flexible layouts. The staff at Mitchell Hall are a standout feature – friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring every event runs smoothly. From the initial booking process to the day-of coordination, their team goes above and beyond to accommodate guests’ needs. Catering options are varied and delicious, with special dietary requirements easily handled. The main hall is bright and well-maintained, suitable for both formal and informal occasions. There’s also ample parking on-site and accessible facilities, making it a convenient choice for all guests. Whether hosting a private function or corporate gathering, Mitchell Hall strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort. The grounds also offer beautiful spots for photos or outdoor gatherings, adding to the overall experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a reliable and memorable venue. Mitchell Hall delivers on both quality and value, leaving a lasting impression for all the right reasons.

Don't opt Mitchel hall for dorms on campus as the food at Reggie's isn't good and you get bored of food sooner. Also Mitchell hall is quite expensive for the room size and common washroom provided for all the flatmates.

It is difficult to evaluate a hotel when it is not exceptional, nor is it awful. This one simply ticks all the boxes and for the price, offers good, but not exceptional value. On arrival there was plenty of parking and checking in was a doddle. The room was a little tired with a small double bed, drab decor and old furniture. That said, the bathroom and shower was exceptional, roomy, fresh and spotless. One thing that did bother me was the room was very stuffy and, whilst there was a fan, this didn't do much to improve things. Nowadays, most hotels, even budget hotels, have some form of air conditioning and that would have made a huge difference. Breakfast was a little confusing though. Even though I had prepaid, there was no-one available to advise that I had to do and it wasn't obvious. What confused things was there was prices on the coffee and drinks and I wasn't sure whether my all inclusive stay allowed me to have a second cup of coffee! I couldn't find any orange juice either and, I suspect if I had, there would have been a price on that as well. All very confusing and it could have been so much easier if a member of staff was available to offer advice on entry. That said, the buffet style breakfast was excellent and plentiful. I was asked before I left if everything was okay, unfortunately I was in a rush so was unable to share my constructive thoughts. After all, breakfast was brilliant apart from the confusing signals as they try to cater for casual visitors as well as those that have pre-paid for breakfast. Would I return? Yes, but only in the colder months because I need to be cool to sleep.

Stayed in the hotel at Mitchell Hall - these appear to be converted student halls. The rooms are small but inoffensive with adequate facilities, but no air-con which was a pain. The bed was two singles together, which is not comfortable to sleep on. Food was served canteen style (super cheap but nothing special).

Really decent accommodation for conferences or meetings at Cranfield. Used to love in the student accommodation and was surprised at what a quality hotel experience it was for a fair bit less than a competing mk or Bedford hotel suite. Would chose Mitchell again and again.
