   I visited London to find a specialist who could assess and re-polish a Paraiba that had been worn daily for over 10 years. After reading the reviews, I chose Holts. I was welcomed by May, whose knowledge and passion for gemology were immediately clear. She assessed the stone under the microscope, explained the damage, and discussed the repair options with the engineer who would be doing the work. When I returned a few weeks later, I met Alicja, who was equally professional and welcoming. The ring needed re-tipping, as expected, and the stone—made more challenging by an extra facet—required careful workmanship. The result is outstanding. The ring looks immaculate, and the stone’s brilliance is better than when I first bought it. As this was an expensive and highly sentimental piece, trusting anyone with it was a real concern. I’m extremely grateful to May, Alicja and the team for delivering such high-quality work at the agreed price and within the promised timeframe. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Holts again for any future jewellery repairs or purchases. In a crowded London market, they truly stand out.

   I worked with Alicja at Holt Gems to create a custom engagement ring for my girlfriend that came out absolutely fantastic. She’s constantly getting compliments on the design and the process working with Alicja was so smooth. After the initial consultation where we discussed gems and the design idea I was provided a sketch to approve, followed by a precise 3D modeled image from multiple angles for final approval before production. I can’t speak to value as I didn’t shop the price around much but I can say the piece came out better than we could have imagined and I’m very happy with my choice.

   We had the most excellent experience at Holts Gems. It was difficult finding a jewellery company that was openly LGBTQ+ friendly, and we were delighted to find this company and their wonderful team. The team was amazing from all aspects, from accommodating us on very short notice and through the whole consultation process to collection of the order. Far from the experience we had walking through Hatton Garden, and being accosted by various salesmen, this was a private sit-down personal experience that was one on one with our designer. It was a very relaxing and welcoming environment. The office doesn't have a show room, so you are not overwhelmed by the number of options, so it is best to have a concept in mind before setting the meeting. We worked with Amy on our design concept, and she was immediately the right fit for us, as she saw our vision and was very knowledgeable, showing us different stone options and engagement ring band options, taking our sizes for future reference, mocking up what the ring could look like, and was very patient with our many different tangents through the initial consultation, guiding us along the way. Ultimately, we left the first session very confident in the decisions that were made. After this there were several follow up meetings, which included stone selection and setting confirmation. All throughout the team was communicative and answered all our questions. We cannot recommend Holts Gems, or Amy, high enough if you wish to have a bespoke ring design experience. And of course... I said yes!

   We had the best experience getting our engagement rings from Holts Gems!! We’re a queer couple and came in for 2 engagement rings, and they made the process so easy. One of us knew the style we wanted, and May at Holts was amazing at helping us find exactly what I wanted and sourced the most stunning blue diamond for us! Her excitement and joy made the process so easy and fun!! The other of us was a lot less sure on style she liked, and May helped her figure that out with trying on different styles and helping us create the most stunning bespoke ring. May was amazing throughout & Amy was brilliant and so helpful coordinating everything for us. It was a daunting process, but Holts made it so easy, and went the extra mile organising everything for us making sure we could buy the rings separately and coordinating us collecting them separately and so we never saw our own accidentally! We loved getting our engagement rings from Holts and recommend them 100% every time.

   Sofia did the most fantastic job with my partner's engagement ring. She guided me through the whole process, helped me design, choose an emerald (which is unbelievably stunning), and then created a ring that was completely beyond what I had imagined. My partner says it's the most beautiful ring she has ever seen, and it draws lots and lots of positive comments from others. Highly recommend.

   Originally found holts whilst looking for engagement rings with coloured stones. The store had a wide selection and we found a few rings which suited my style and taste. I have now been wearing the ring for over 18 months and it is still as beautiful as it was in the showroom. We also decided to have Holts make our bespoke wedding bands as we couldn't find what we wanted. The consultant was thorough and did not rush us; she was very friendly and not at all pushy as we had found at other places. We showed her pictures and explained what we wanted. She listened to all the details and the rings were made exactly as we had imagined. Since then we have taken other items to be repaired or additions made and the workmanship is always excellent; the price reasonable; and the customers service faultless. I would definitely return again and would recommend them as a trusted jewellers. Update: 7 years after I purchased my first piece of jewellery from Holts and I am still very happy with the quality.

   I had the most wonderful experience buying my wedding band from Holts - not only were Alicja and her colleagues extraordinarily kind, they were infinitely patient walking us through all the options and answering our questions. While some places in Hatton Garden can feel a little intimidating and you're unsure if you are finding quite what you want or need, the service at Holts was warm, honest and knowledgeable. I would very much recommend!

   I had a ring designed by Alicja and I could not recommend her enough. She is warm and approachable and very skilled at interpreting what a client wants. Holts have an impressive array of gems in the store but when it became clear that they didn’t have the precise gem size required, she also worked hard to try source them. Ultimately that proved unsuccessful and she proposed a couple of possible alternatives for the design. She kept me updated regularly through the process and the finished product is absolutely stunning. I could not be more pleased with the whole process.
