   We've been asked to sign a blank page while discussing with landlord, apparently for the purpose of contract preparation and having our names (no ID check etc.). Next day a contract was delivered with our names and signatures pinned as the final page. We've never seen the contract or discussed any terms at that point so we informed the landlord we don't agree to it and it needs to be re-written. Landlord said it was ok and we didn't need a contract due to relations. The estate agent now denies his unprofessional conduct and code of practice and states he delivered and discussed the contract which we then signed. Considering the arrangements, many points don't even relate to us and/or are incorrect, which shows clearly it was a standard box contract not at all tailored to an individual property. You can download a contract like that from the internet! Let's see what the property ombudsman has to say if they are even a member of it considering the unprofessional standards.
