Visited here with some work colleagues. The lady serving us was lovely and attentive. Two of us required gluten free which wasn’t a problem. The only disappointing thing was that there’s only one GF starter. The HF pizza was lovely! I’ll be back for another
I haven't been to Frankie and Benny's for ages after a rubbish meal in Basingstoke. Took the kids today and have to say I was really impressed. We had pizzas and desserts and the food was surprisingly really good. 10/10 for the service too. Super Mario was great with my kids and was excellent at his job. Give the man a payrise. Had a good time. Thank you!
Had a amazing dinner here with my partner was really busy but service was on point. Food was amazing will defenetly be back. Keep up the good work. Our waitress was lovely.
Would not recommend unless you want to wait over 1hr for food! We went here yesterday around 4pm there was a total of 6 couples from what I could see, it’s was very quiet (not understaffed!!) took them 30mins to bring us our drinks and take our food order, then another 45mins to bring out our food! Totalling 1hr 15mins wait!! Unbelievable, we didn’t have enough time for desert as we had to be at go karting for 6pm (thinking two hours was plenty!!) also has our starters with our mains due to the length of time it took it all had to come out together! Would never visit here again, banging burgers opposite or prezzo couple of doors down but avoid this place if I was you! He Wasn’t happy when I didn’t tip him either!..
Visited on a Sunday and it was really busy so maybe the food was good! Honestly the food was pretty shocking! I had the chicken and prawn alfredo and the prawns were overcooked, rubbery and had an awful smell to them. Was offered extra chicken by the waitress to recieve a steaming hot microwaved bowl of defrosted precooked chicken that was absolutely awful and an invitation to a few days off with food poisoning, I pointed this out to the waitress with not much of a response and was offered 50% off my meal. My partners burger was missing the hullomi and sons chips were served stone cold. Lesson learnt again and will avoid for another 5 years.
Latest visit, April 2022,for an early evening meal. Not very busy at the time of our visit , but a steady increase in customers while we were there. Very good service. Meals served very quickly, hardly any waiting.. Enjoyable visit. A Sunday evening (October 2019) and a visit with the family. Food was not as good as previous visits , very disappointing and have lowered my rating. Sirloin steak meal poor. No complaints about the staff. Drinks usually slow to arrive, delays after ordering and time to arrive at table. The previous return visit was made at lunchtime when the food and service were satisfactory. (August 2019) Full menu or lunchtime menu available. Very clean facilities both in Ladies and Gents. Standard Frankie & Benny restaurant. Parking easiest in the lower or upper levels of the Swan Centre.
On this occasion, staff were happy and were serving quickly. The food was cooked well so we had no complaints about that. Not going to name and shame but staff need to ensure they are putting some kind of strong deodorant on as one nearly put us off our food when they rushed past us. We know you are constantly busy and running around but that is not something we need to smell when having a nice meal out (sorry!)
The service was great but the food was not. My partner ordered a simple Spaghetti Bolognese and it had not been drained properly and there was a lot of oil on the plate. The chips we ordered wete also undercooked. I however ordered a Calzone which was cooked beautifully.
This is my first experience of visiting F&B's. The very first thing I have noted in this restaurant is the cleanliness of the entire restaurant and warm / friendly welcome by one of the member of their staff. The staff is exceptionally kind and very friendly. Once we ordered our food the average waiting time is about 10-15 minutes, which is acceptable. The pizza is tasty but the meatballs spaghetti is not that flavoursome. The portion sizes were not adequate. However, restaurant is very cozy and unique. Thank you.
