   An absolutely overpriced restaurant. Rarely seen sushi at such ridiculous prices points, even for UK’s standard. Salmon nigiris costs £7 + service charge and is served with a horrible looking cut of salmon. This will be returned in any parts of Asia, but not in UK. I feel like all sashimi items here have very low value for money as the quality of the sashimi cannot justify the crazy prices. Tonkatsu is only £10, but the pork chop is thick, well seasoned, and nicely fried. Best dish of the night. Both the shop owners and the customers should think about the prices.

   We absolutely loved our time at Ebi sushi. The atmosphere was amazing, the service was immaculate and to see the sushi chef preparing sushi meals in front of you was an unforgettable experience. The food was fresh, absolutely scrumptious and unique. I really liked Japanese pickles, sushi were sooo tasty and pudding (cheesecake), OMG!!!, one of the best ones in Derby: fresh, not too sweet and has an ideal combination of texture and flavour. My family and I highly recommend Ebi Sushi. P.S. It's better to book a table in advance to avoid disappointment. It was absolutely packed when we went there.

   Authentic Japanese restaurant. Food quality, freshness, taste and presentation was very good. A wide variety of options from sushi to sashimi to grilled dishes available. The hot sake is a must try with the food. Limited opening times, therefore a booking is definitely recommended. Prices are a bit towards the plus side as expected. Good service and paid parking available across the street.

   The food in Ebi is superb. This is one of the best Japanese restaurant so far I tried in UK. Assorted Sashimi is the most I like, make me feel like dining in Japan. Chef and staffs are Japanese too.

   Just wow. Who would have known this was hiding in an unassuming location in Derby. The staff were so friendly and polite. Very knowledgeable and helpful in recommendations. Such high quality fish. Would highly recommend to anyone who likes Japanese cuisine.

   Authentic Japanese cuisine made by Japanese chef. The food is very fresh and delicious, and the environment is very cosy and friendly. The price is really reasonable with the quality that they service. Make sure to call and book before turning up! They do have pick up service too!

   Incredible sushi! Every single mouthful was delightful. I especially enjoyed the tuna belly which was worth every penny. It is slightly on the higher end of prices for Derby, but if you can treat yourself, I highly recommend it. I know that this kind of meal in London would have costs three times as much for the exact same dishes. I also love the authentic Japanese feel that you get from the restaurant. I believe that the term for a sushi master is ‘Itamae’ and this is definitely what the gentleman in Ebi Sushi is. Finally, the service is excellent due to the size of the restaurant, extremely attentive and received all our drinks and meals in good timing.
