Amazing meal had the steak and apple pie and custard. Very friendly. Staff helpful and very polite. Thank you for my amazing meal.
Lovely garden & smoking area. Inside is a traditional pub & looked like the locals use. Had a good choice of cask ales & the granddaughters loved the hot chocolate. We'll definitely visit again & try the Sunday Roast.

Went for an evening meal whilst visiting the area. Very friendly reception, our dog was well received and given a treat, which always goes down well with him. Food was delivered quickly, hot, well presented and tasty. Service was friendly and quick, nice atmosphere. Reasonably sized car park. Only 10 mins out from Winchester and we will definitely return when visiting in the future. Recommended.
We visited on the weekend in October 2022 for a Sunday roast. The lamb shank was really well cooked and the meat was falling off the bones and the potatoes were crispy and soft. The veg however could have used a lot more love. Over cooked carrots and cauliflower in water is not what I want to be served in a pub.
Sunday lunch with hubby - it's been a long time since we were last here however thought it about time we did something different so the Phoenix it was. So glad we went - the roast chicken was fantastic and hubby had the gammon dish. The food was delicious and plenty of it For just over £30 including a drink we couldn't complain at that. I don't think we will be waiting so long before we go back.
