We had delivery of 50 meals a mix of fish, fishcake, sausages plain and battered, pea fritters. All very good, very hot. Delivered on time for our AGM party. Mushy peas and curry sauce were great additions. Loads of positive comments from those attending the party. This is second party catered for and both great.
The fish and chips here are always fresh, crispy, and delicious! The portions are generous, and the staff are super welcoming and friendly. It’s such a great spot to grab a tasty meal. I’m really glad to have them just next door!
Great food with amazing service. Every single staff member had a smile on their face. They were all very kind and helpful even recommending some items to try on the menu. All the food was perfect. The batter was lovely and crispy. The chips were hot and fresh. The curry sauce was lovely. And the fish cakes and pies were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. Prices were cheap and the food was more than worth the value. Again the staff were super.
We called Sonny's this evening to make them aware we had 20 scouts and would be stopping to buy chips from them as part of our chip shop hike evening we arrived just after the time we said to expect us and they handled everything perfectly everyone got exactly what the had ordered and it was all hot and freshly cooked. We really enjoyed the food this evening. Will use sonny's again in the future.
Just went down there to get food for dinner. What an awful smell!! Not sure if it is old dirty fat or they have changed to cheaper fat. Either way, my wife bought the food while I stood outside, the smell was turning my stomach. Needless to say, I am having something from the freezer tonight. My wife said "looks like we need to find a new chip shop" we been using this one for years but standards have slipped.
On Saturday 18th Feb I purchased 2 lots of fish and chips, when we got them home the fish batter was burnt and hard at £8 per fish we where both upset having been looking forward to our tea the chips where ok.
Large fish £8 was more like a small ,chips were reheated horrible and the mushy peas were like pea soup avoid at all cost wouldnt give it to the dog
Great Take Away , Big portions especially chips . Lovely fish , Recyclable packaging , clean and looked after shop . CASH ONLY ?? . A bit unusual too not take cards but there is a cashpoint next door so not too much of a problem.
We pre-ordered for a local Cub Pack as part of a camp. Contacted them a week before to arrange for the order, with specific items for vegetarian and for the children. Our order was very large and we expected to wait; but all meals were ready to be collected on arrival - drinks (that were included in the order) was already boxed up and allocated to us. Catering resources (forks) were provided with each individual meal. Could not fault the efficiency and productivity of the team.
