   We went for Valentine's Day. The set menu was amazing. Perfectly cooked steak, large portions and a nice gin! The service was smooth, friendly and efficient. Thanks for a great night!

   Went for Christmas dinner on Christmas day had to wait in the rain for 15 minutes, before going in as previous sitting didn't leave on time, then waited 1 hour + for drinks and starter, after that service flowed better, staff were very apologetic and it was beyond there control, but it was very long to wait for a drink with 2 young children. Wouldn't go for Christmas day again.

   We had our work Christmas party here. There were 10 people and we all had a fantastic time. We pre-ordered our food which all came correctly and met all our dietary requirements. The portions were so big and filling. Plenty of veg and meat of the roasts and large portions for pudding! Our waitress was brilliant! So friendly, polite and attentive. We had plenty of drinks and sides when needed and were able to pay the bill easily. The whole experience was great from the restaurant atmosphere, food choices and service. We will definitely be back for our Christmas party next year!

   Great food and service with a 2 for £30 deal. There was a good choice with steak, burgers and other options. We were told clearly what was in the deal and served quickly. The drinks came quickly and the food took around 20 minutes to arrive. We had starters and main courses and all was cooked perfectly. The portions were filling and I'd never tasted such tender rump steak. Not at all fatty. The surf and turf burger with the King Prawns and proper grilled beef burger was also full of flavour. I wish there was a Beefeater like this nearer to where we usually live.

   My wife and I went for dinner and this was our first time at The Hut. The food was good and portion sizes were generous enough. Prices were reasonable too. It’s really a pub (with full table service) so decor and ambiance don’t count for too much but both were adequate. The only gripe we had was the rather poor quality of service. When you have to be calling over the waitress,repeatedly, because she’s chatting at other tables (and not just the once) then it gets a bit disappointing. And it’s not like she was young and inexperienced. As mentioned earlier, this was our first visit so maybe the service is generally better but on this occasion, not so much.

   We visited on a busy Saturday night, upon entry it was made clear that the restaurant was full but we could order and eat in the bar area. Overall it was a nice experience, staff were friendly and attentive, bar area was somewhat sterile and has an active pool table so be aware of this. Food arrived quickly, was warm and decent quality. Portion size was very good, we had no room for desert! Prices are fairly standard, lots of parking and easy to get to. Just a bit run of the mill, was tempted to rate 4 star but maybe another time.

   Have used this restaurant for many years. The staff that used to be here were excellent. The food was good. Never any complaints at all. Visited for the first time time since lockdown and my word things have changed dramatically. The seasoned middle aged women have been replaced by youngsters with poor life skills. The excuses tendered for items that were not available were laughable. You should receive exactly what is described on the menu with nothing missing. We ate off the daytime menu but were presented with an inflated bill which included prices from the full menu. No apologies made whatsoever. Not visiting again.

   First time visit as I was in the area at the time, the service was unprofessional, chefs in the kitchen food quality was average but served hot, chefs wearing dirty uniform and rings and piercings when cooking the food, no basic hygiene observed. The waitresses were under pressure and the whole place not organised, dead environment won’t be returning unfortunately..
