This is a good cafe. I purchased two coffees, one iced and one hot. The iced coffee was great and actually a very good size. I have two issues with the cafe: 1. the prices are slightly too high for the product, the wait time and the overall ambience. 2. There are two places to que one outside and one inside. The issue is they have one person working the tills so the wait times are huge and a lot of time is lost working between the two areas.

Very expensive for what it is and came with poor service. At £16 for full English breakfast I would expect a whole not half a tomato and for bacon, eggs and sausages to be free range (not specified as such in the menu so I assume they’re not) Non-branded brown and red sauces at these prices should not be served as they just ruin the taste. I was never given my receipt when I paid £39.50 for 2 breakfast and 2 lattes, and having seen the small glass cup intended for the drinks I asked for large ones but was told they only do one size. Food took about 15 minutes to arrive and then the waitress turned up with a single small plate. When I suggested this was incorrect as we ordered 2 full breakfasts she was looking at the plate questioning if I ordered a vegetarian, despite there being a piece of bacon on show then said she would go and check. She returned with 2 large plates but one was missing the bacon and the other mushrooms and again was questioning it as if she had no idea what the breakfast should consist of - I had to show her the menu to prove items were missing. She again said she would go check and took the plate away with her to complete the food. Our drinks arrived in a very small latte glass and tasted great but were lukewarm. It’s a grab your own cutlery and condiments and order at the till sort of place, quite noisy and rather basic with indoor tables quite close to each other. With parking costs £2.40 per hour as well, will not be returning here.

Was looking forward to a nice milkshake after my walk around the lake. Watched them make it, half milk half ice blended. Tasted very watery not the milkshake I was expecting for £5.50 . To be honest should be called ‘watered down milkshake.’…. The kids might not complain but as an adult I would of expected a MILKshake… Stop being tight and sell what you say you’re selling.

Always a good day when we come here. Parking is on the expensive side, over £2 for 1 hour. Can't remember if it was £2.20 or £2.50. Kids love it here. My grandad passed away last month and we used to come here with him alot. We even celebrated his 80th birthday here during covid. We came last weekend to remember grandad and share memories with a nice walk around the lake.

First time visiting the Cafe and on a Sunday. The place is popular as it's a captive market what with the new playground. The cafe itself could do with a bit of a make over and a good clean. Tables were cleared quickly but some chairs and tables were left covered with crumbs. This is not helped by some of the natural wooden tables with lots of gaps. The toilets need a compete refurb and were a bit of a state with a single ancient hand dryer. The queue was at the door when we arrived and only after we had been waiting over 30 mins did I hear there was a 45min wait for food. Luckily I wasn't in a hurry but it meant I had consumed my drink way before my food had arrived. Kids meals were ok but my Nachos were a real surprise and came out piping hot, fresh, tasty and of an ample portion size. Yes it's noisy as others have commented but that's just children having fun.

A most unpleasant bank holiday experience! Was hoping for an enjoyable lunch whilst exploring the park, however after finding seating amongst what felt a manic atmosphere was dismayed at what was dawning on us. The noise from crowds of shouting & screaming kids was unbearable and far worse in volume than the previous days visit we made to a seaside fun park/theme park! The prices on the menu equated to those of what you would pay for at a decent pub and considered that paying over £30 for a lunch for the two of us amongst this mayhem would not be justified. Decided to downgraded to coffee & cake only then to find a long slow moving queue and very limited selection of cakes, which only hastened our exit from the cauldron of noise! Not recommended unless you enjoy being amongst bedlam of noisy kids!

Live within 10 mins walk. If I ever have a day off or am up early then this is a must do. Great food, great service, value and fills me for the day. Service with a smile (just ask the blonde girl lol), Can get busy on weekends by 11am but that's a sign of how good it is. Can't see me going anywhere else - eaten breakfast all over London etc and this is the best. Try it...what have you got to lose ? You even get a nice walk round the lake after. Call it my serenity and tranquillity.
