   Ain't had shapla for years&this eve orderd one&what a disappointment!! Raw stringy dough in uncooked naan bread,cold tasteless chicken in greasy cold rice. My missus korma was just as bad we had a mouthful and fed the outside bin.....still poppadoms are ok but a toddler could cook them tbf

   Having Rebranded and no longer actually being Shapla tandoori, it’s now called “Cinnamon”. We waited an hour for a delivery and ended up collecting after waiting so long. The Chicken pasanda was actually a “chicken tikka” pasanda, which turned out to be very watery and both chicken tikka dishes were very rubbery and almost felt cheap or undercooked. We were missing a Rice dish completely, Cheese naan was wrong and was found to be a plain naan. 2 incorrect dishes and 1 missing, while having a really underwhelming quality with all. I’m sorry to say but after this experience, I Would 100% recommend elsewhere…

   Not been here for a while, used to be our first choice in Totton, same menu new people since we were there last time, picked up food, arrived home to eat our lovely curry - only it wasn’t , poppadoms very dry, sauce not really right , balti little bit too hot, madras hotter than normal, but the worst bit - the chicken at shapla used to be the reason we bought from there, tender succulent and fresh tasting, this chicken was hard, dry, not much taste and wasn’t type of chicken I could eat again!! Only nice things were rice was pretty good, and service ok but I have to say wouldn't go here for my take out Indian again. Shame as with previous people owning it everything was spot on.

   First time ordering from Shapla tonight, and I've got to say I was very impressed! Had the Shapla Special curry and it was very good. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the onion bhajis weren't very good. Will definitely order again.

   AMAZING! Fantastic take away meal this evening. Shapla is back and even better than before! Our food was hot and bursting with flavour, I couldn’t fault it in any way. Great food and great value.

   We’ve been going to Shapla for years even travelling quite a way to collect it as we used to enjoy it, we then stopped buying the chicken from there as it was tough, so we switched to the lamb….. and tonight that’s completely gone downhill. My lamb bhuna was inedible, the lamb was extremely tough, my teeth hurt just eating one bit, the food didn’t taste good at all. Whereas my husband had the lamb dhansack and he enjoyed it!!! The prices have shot up quite considerably! . Not impressed at all.

   Brilliant food, we looked up the menu on their website while driving down to our air BnB, called them and ordered for collection in 50 minutes time. Just what 4 hungry tourists needed and very tasty.

   Where is the best place to get an Indian ?? Shapla . I do not live in totton and never have holbury and Hythe are closer . But for over 20 years this place delivers ..on taste , quality , and portion size .. NOT > taste ok and a bag of chopped onions chucked in with no meat

   As a family been using this place for 20+ years used to be by far one of the best in Southampton. Recently it’s average at best. Not sure if it’s changed hands or been passed down a generation but last 3 times exactly the same… just bang average. There’s definitely better options locally now.
