   Table reservation booking was 7pm. We arrived early at 6.30pm to see if we could be seated early. Even though there were several empty tables, we were told no, which was fair enough. However, when we returned at 7pm we saw the same tables were still empty but were told we still couldn’t be seated as a table was not available to us. We waited 5 minutes at the front desk and were then told our table would be ready in another 10 minutes and to go to the bar, get a drink and wait there. It was a further 25 minutes before we were told our table was ready and we were directed to the table which had been available since 6.30pm! We were then kept waiting to be served and to add to the poor customer service, we were then completely boxed in, when a waiter moved another table so close next to ours, we couldn’t even get up and go to the toilet. We ordered some drinks, which never arrived and although the starters were good, we hadn’t even finished them, before our mains were brought over to our table, which were then not the best prepared. When the bill was brought over to us, we saw we had not only been charged for the drinks, which we’d been told were complementary but also service charge! Understandably, we requested both were removed. Such a disappointing first visit to Giggling Squid- Winchester restaurant, which I had been very much looking forward to. I understand it was a busy Saturday night due to the Xmas market however, our reservation had been booked a few wks in advance and staffing/bookings should have been managed accordingly. We will definitely not be returning or recommending this restaurant to anyone.

   Restaurant is beautiful and the food was amazing. Took 20 minutes or so from being seated to even get a drinks order in and thats only because I flagged down a server, who seemed very rushed, and a bit abrupt, I wouldn't say rude but definitely not friendly.

   It was cold inside because of AC... actually going outside late at night was warmer. I had to get a blanket and be warmed up by my partner because it was freezing. Anyway the food was great and service was good. Our table was probably a little far, near the toilets, so it was hard getting the waiters attention on a few occasions, but once they saw they would apologise. Deservable tip. Dessert should have been warmer though. Overall we enjoyed it.

   This review is a couple of months late. But I had to post it. Absolute 5 star rating from me. I had been seeing their ads quite often and the food seemed amazing. I hadn't really checked anything else before I went and I was pleasantly surprised. The interior is so gorgeous. Very pretty and had a spring vibe. I just loved it. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The service was also quick. And the food was mouthwatering. We ordered the seafood platter. And honestly, I think this is sufficient for two people. However, I wasn't sure about it when ordering so also ordered one prawn noodles. Both were perfection. Highly recommend this place.

   It would have been 5* but for the Pad Thai lacking a bit of extra "zing". It was nice, but the other dishes were very good. The massaman curry was excellent, as were the sticky wings!

   What a delightful restaurant experience! We went on a weekday towards the end of January when it was very quiet. It was great from start to finish, we were served quickly and got our food quickly. The real stand out of the night was (as you’d expect!) the delicious food. It tasted like totally authentic Thai inspired food, and was very tasty. So tasty, in fact, that I am going to return for my birthday meal later down the line. New favourite restaurant! Thank you, team.

   Came here for our Christmas meal with a party of 9. Our drinks and starters were taken and for the wine drinkers, most of the white options were unavailable. When the drinks were brought to the table, only wine was brought and it took asking three times for one of the cocktails and twice for a beer, only to be brought the wrong size. One of my parties starters was stone cold and was sent back and the starters were brought to the table sporadically which made eating uncomfortable for some. After an hour and a half, finishing our starters, we had to ask for someone to take our order for mains as nobody attended the table. Despite the servers being very apologetic which I was thankful for, in parts it ruined my work Christmas meal after having to complain on numerous occasions. We were told on a few occasions the downstairs tables were busy, they were down on staffing and were struggling. The team, despite being polite and trying to diffuse the situation seemed to be dealing with these issues alone with no supervisor and they seemed to lack experience - I felt sorry for them as our issues stacked up as the night progressed. Overall with a party of this size who spent way above £300, on a Monday evening, I would have expected the restaurant to have been prepared to deal with a booking of this magnitude. This is such a shame as the food was overall good and if the service hadn’t let them down it would have been a fantastic evening. Disappointed to say, I won’t be coming here again and would not recommend.

   Came here for my friends birthday and what a lovely place! We had Ethan as our server. He was very patient with us being a big group and delivered great hospitality. The restaurant is beautifully decorated which made it feel very warm and cozy. Would highly recommend!
