Hate to leave a bad review for anywhere, however I felt this warranted one. I had heard they were now doing fish bites, which I had seen on Facebook with a picture also, so knew how big they should be and went to try. I was very shocked and disappointed when I got home and opened the paper wrapping to find such tiny fish “bites”. I accept that fish prices have increased, however this is a new extreme! Edit - No reply after a week so changed to 1 star to reflect.

We always have chippy here and every time this place is amazing. The chips are crisp and fresh and overall the food is mouthwatering. Best in Burton by far

Visiting family and decided to treat us all to fish and chips. The fish looked good the chips were ok and large in portion size. The chicken kebab looked fresh and tasty but unfortunately myself and my husband ordered cornish pasty. Well I am not sure what it was but it most certainly wasnt a cornish pasty, it was disgusting. It arrived wrapped in a sealed bag which when we opened it a anaemic looking white thing slithered out. It looked totally uncooked and tiny. I did try it but I had trouble cutting through it and it tasted awful. It was such a shame as everything else was well received and enjoyed.

I have tried chicken kebabs from probably everywhere in Burton and this place beats them all by a mile. The quality of chicken used is outstanding. The price is great too. The fish and chips are also of a high standard and good price. The only downside to this place is it closes a bit early, but maybe this is why they can afford to do such great food at a good price. The staff are always very friendly too. Highly recommend this place to anyone. This place now does delivery if ordering through JustEat, however what cost under £10 will cost almost £15 when ordering through JustEat and there’s no option to pay by cash on delivery due to the drivers not being their own. Chicken Kebab also seems to be getting smaller. Would be good for an option of extra chicken in the kebab, however the price is already quite high. Hopefully price and portion size won’t change too much over time. Delivery is very quick.
