Waited 2 hours for online order and paid £100 order called twice to chase up order so we cancelled then they can’t repay the funds for another 2/3 days awful service

I recently ordered from Happy Chef Chinese Takeaway on Derwent Drive, Slough, and I’m absolutely chuffed to bits with the experience! The food was top-notch—piping hot, bursting with flavour, and generously portioned. Their crispy chilli beef and Singapore rice noodles were proper standouts, perfectly balanced and cooked to perfection. The staff were dead friendly, answering the phone quick and sorting my order with a smile. Delivery was spot-on, arriving bang on time, and the driver was a right gem. I’ve tried other Chinese takeaways in the area, but Happy Chef is hands-down the best—consistent, tasty, and great value for money. Already looking forward to my next order! Highly recommend giving them a go.

Wow. You would think if you make a mistake you would own up to it rather than blaming the customer. After ordering from happy chef for years and ordering the same dish each time, I was given the wrong order. That's fine I thought as I call the restaurant but rather than accepting the mistake I was made out to be a liar, advised that this is what I ordered and he will sort it next time. The comment I was left with is `if we changed the order every time the customer made a mistake we would be out of business`. Now I'm not a confrontational person but I was rather upset that the owner of this establishment thought it was okay to gas light me and knock my concerns to the side. After just agreeing to a discount I hung up and spoke to my mum who in turn had a similar experience although expressing profusely that I always order this dish. The owner then changed his tune and said he must not have understood and yet as a manager you would think to repeat the order back to avoid such problems. Safe to say due to his mannerisms, lack of empathy and sheer condescending nature Happy Chef has lost our business.

Absolutely love this place and always our go to for our traditional new year's eve meal. Great service, exceptional food at a great price. Lady on the front desk is always friendly. I have spoken to the owner on a couple nof occasions who has always been accommodating. Yes sometimes there's a wait for our order; but that's because they are busy and reinforces how good they are.

Ordered at 6.30 and was still waiting for my food 2 hours later. Might as well of put my order in 2 weeks ago it might of come on time. Are you frying my rice grain by grain? Peeling the potatoes for my chips with a pencil sharpener? Your restaurant might as well be in china for the amount of time it takes you to get your food. How can I ring 80 times and not get through. Rude staff as well not the first time they’ve been rude to me. Decided to give you a second chance deffo won’t be getting a third. Sort it out.

We placed a large order for a family birthday at 6.30 after 70 calls to the engaged number ,we then placed our family order online . Which came to over £85 , we never received a confirmation email or any delivery time . At 8.15 we finally managed to get through on the phone line to a very rude member of staff who proceeded to say what would you like us to do start cooking your order which will be another 30 mins or come and get a refund !!! We came to get a refund and the lady behind the counter was so rude no apology or explanation and she laugh when we said we would leave a review !!! Shocking service rude staff and I wouldn’t waste your time with this Chinese. Just hoping that the refund has gone back into our bank account correctly.

Honestly the most disgusting experience I’ve ever had with a Chinese. For a member of the family’s birthday we’ve decided to order with these guys online as I tried to contact them over 70+ times to no answer from them. So have no other choice but to order through the website, I placed my order had no confirmation email or eta on the time of delivery. After many more phone calls finally got through to them and was spoken to by the ruddiest women, I explained about my situation how i ordered over an hour and a half ago her response was do you want me to start cooking it now or come get a refund I placed the order over an hour and a half ago please explain why you didn’t cook it when the order was placed so we opted for a refund. We travelled down to the shop where the rude women was practically laughing in our face and speaking to us like a piece of dirt on her shoe it’s now 8:30 on Saturday my family are now no longer hungry thanks to these guys. Avoid them at all cost from now as I will be doing absolutely disgusting
