   I left the school 2 years ago and I still use the knowledge that i learnt there. I teachers support every student to their best abilities. Without the motivation i got from Ruskin Academy is amazing. Nicky Kingsnorth is one of those teachers who help and focused on many student to help with their mindset. When I was at Ruskin in 2019 they helped me stay positive because there was always someone to talk to.

   In regards to the way bad behavior/ bullying is handled at the school is the true let down. To make the student and family of student feel as if their concerns are not relevant as they have not been logged as serious, and to say in front of upset student who is explaining what has happened and how it made them feel "it is not bullying as it is not one person every time" is disgusting. I have no question as to why my child chooses to wait until she is at home to tell me of the things that happen at school as like her I now have little faith the school is dealing with this. No child within school age, especially not of Junior school age should ever say the words "I was floored and kicked" or be sent home with a only a note regarding being given a bloody nose within the class room by another pupil, and to then not be told what actions towards that student was taken as apparently as only the parent to the injured child it is not my concern! I can honestly the head teachers attitude is belittling to students and parents. I wanted to make a safe guarding complaint but as this is now an academy the procedure is very long winded and all involve the head teacher who my complaint would be largely about so doubt it would get handled appropriately. The injuries and complaints my child has brought forward, if were out of school grounds or adults would be assault and police would largely be involved, that go forwarded is the procedure I will take.
