   Location: main street city centre. Ordering: Kiosks to self order or counters with staff to take your order. Sitting: 5+ tables with sofas for sitting of 4 or more. 2 arrangements having high chairs, that can accommodate large groups of about 10 people. Food: good options, non-vegetarian. The taste of all the items may seem similar, mainly because the sauce and ingredients are hardly separate from each other. Portion is generous. Staff: great! I even witnessed a staff helping a customer to change their order while handing over the food, who had accidentally conveyed something else. Amenities: located at the same level as the street, so accessible by wheels. Toilets are available inside the restaurant. Overall, a nice place for a quick bite or spending a longer time when in a group. Don't expect variety in the food. Slightly pricey products.

   We visited German Doner Kebab in Winchester during our holiday in the first week of January 2025, and we were honestly so impressed! We ordered takeaway and brought the food back to our own restaurant, and even after the short journey, everything was still hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The quality of the meat was spot on—tender, well-seasoned, and perfectly grilled. The bread was fresh and warm, and the sauces added just the right amount of flavour without overpowering the taste. We also ordered some sides, and everything was packaged really well and neatly. The service was quick and friendly too. Staff were polite, efficient, and happy to explain the menu when we had questions. You could tell they cared about the customer experience. We’ve tried doner from different places, but this was definitely one of the best we’ve had in the UK, especially impressive for a takeaway! Highly recommended if you’re in Winchester and craving something tasty and satisfying. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

   A great place to eat! Good portion sizes, delicious food, and quick service. No strong smells, which is always a plus. Also, no loud music-unlike some other GDK locations. Overall, a very pleasant experience!

   £7 for a mixed doner panini with almost zero meat, and a drink? It was just bread and onions, you're taking the p***, just look this is how it came, like 3 strands of lamb, and a few flakes of chicken, won't be ordering from them, get a massive kebab for the same price anywhere else in Winchester, muppets

   Fast food, a little different from the usual burger bars and pizza places. We were passing and thought we’d try a kebab for a change. The food was very tasty, and nice and hot! We were served by Aiza, who was very friendly and helpful. She came and cleaned the table for us, which we appreciated.

   There is definitely potential here… but on the two occasions I’ve decided to eat from here I’ve been disappointed. Both times my food was cold - considering I ate in the second time there shouldn’t be any excuse. The meat was tasty and well cooked… but note there is no option here for a lamb doner! I also found that there were no strong tastes to the sauces being added so it can be a little bland. I tried the wrap and the OG. Over all the place is clean and tidy and the staff attentive with plenty of space to sit and eat your food… not sure what its like later at night. Hopefully it will improve food-wise as it becomes more established, but 3 stars from me for now.

   Food was delicious and not too unhealthy if you pick the right things. Decent selection of things to choose from, though logically all centred around Kebab meat. Service was quick, place was clean and not too loud. We were served by Fatima, who was particularly polite, patient and attentive.

   Absolutely delicious! Our server, Elsa was so helpful and attentive. The food was insanely tasty and full of flavour, not oily or fatty. The salad was crispy and fresh and the meat was divine. The restaurant is clean and has a great atmosphere. The prices are amazing too! Will be returning for sure!
