   Went to buy waterproof jacket. The assistant, heavily engaged in chewing gum, came up with a product retailing at £450. I’m nearly 70, it would be cheaper to book a taxi every time I left the house! First time in shop….never again!

   Northface is one of my go to shop for my trekking and hiking accessories. I visited recently Northface Union Square branch to buy a pair of hiking boots and buy maybe a backpack to go with it, sadly the staff appeared to be disengaged and inattentive. Accessing assistance for trying out sizes is very hard. Not many choices on boots thought. We just left and bought from next door shop instead.

   Be very careful to check your receipt when getting a refund. My husband bought me a jacket for my birthday, I didn't like it so we returned it Saturday. Instead of a refund, they charged us again! We're now £324 out of pocket less than 4 weeks before Christmas. The store have said "sometimes mistakes like this happen when they're busy" and CS say "nothing they can do because it wasn't an online purchase". We have to go back in to store (which we can't do until next weekend and it's over a 30 mile round trip) and wait 3 - 5 days for the money to go back in to our account. Needless to say, that's the last time we'll make TNF purchase! One star because I can't give zero.

   Very good customer service, the person was really polite and showed me the choices I had for the kind of jacket I was looking for. Bought an amazing jacket for only 95 pound.

   Stock is quite limited. The customer service is not bad. The limited number of sizes, do not encourage for visiting again. I have not seen problem with that in other North Face shops. Will try to check on other day and give a place second chance.
