I am studying archaeology and anthropology here, and the course is an absolute joke. It's all juvenile rubbish like making posters and social media. Since archaeology is now a science, it should be taken no seriously. I can't believe I gave up my flat, a good job, and being away from my cat ,(pets are not allowed in student accommodation) to do this. There is hardly any labwork, and the closest we get to learning something that will be useful for our careers is the forensic anthropology module and field archaeology. I want to go into osteo-archaeolohy, so I am going to do an online diploma course on that subject, because I am not doing my Masters here. I am now in the second year, at the end of the first semester, and I don't see it getting any better. I just got 48% for a stupid poster we had to do, and I am annoyed and disappointed. I would have preferred an essay, report, or a PowerPoint presentation to have been the assignment, where I know I could have done well. We stopped doing kiddy things like posters in the third year of high school. I wouldn't have expected it to happen at university. Okay, an information poster that isn't an assignment would be great, and a welcome distraction, but to have as a requirement for getting my degree? I just want this next year and a half to go quickly, so I can graduate, and do my Masters at a better uni, where a course like this is taken more seriously. The uni itself is okay, but if it wasn't I would go somewhere else for my final year.

I went to my graduation today. It was superb, staff members were very helpful guiding us around campus. Everything was super well organized. They gave us tons of freebies, more than we expected and basically everyone was very professional. I mean simply because of all that, I've decided any future study will have to be done here. If such display of good conduct is displayed and embedded in the people of Lancashire, it can only be because the teachers and staff are impeccable leaders. Highly recommended!

The University of Central Lancashire stands out as a truly welcoming institution, where beauty and orderliness shape the environment both inside and outside the campus. The grounds are not only visually appealing but also reflect a sense of calm and inspiration that supports learning and personal growth. Equally impressive is the seamless coordination and teamwork among staff and management. Their collaborative spirit ensures that students and visitors alike experience a well-organized, supportive atmosphere. Accessibility is thoughtfully prioritized, making the university open and inclusive to all. Above all, the hospitality extended by the university community creates a warm and inviting culture - one that makes everyone feel valued and at home. It is this blend of environment, organization, teamwork, accessibility, and genuine care that makes UCLan a remarkable place to study, work, and grow.

I studied MSc Pharmacy at this uni and graduted in 2019. I had such a great time here, the staff are friendly and always willing to help and the campus is huge. I loved the fact the library was open 24/7 too. I'm happy I went to this uni! Looking forward to visiting Preston to see what it looks like now.

BIG NO. NEVER APPLY HERE!!!! This university is all about making money, and nothing more of a qualitative work. I’m a student of UCLAN. There are fair lecturers and tutors but at the same time tutors and staffs being complete racists. And the racism can even be seen in the grades and the facilities and even in the ‘help’ they provide. I’m an international student. I’ve had many difficulties during my days there and although the uni and staffs look like they’re helping, they’re not at all helpful or attentive. A mail sent to the tutor or any other staff would require you more than a month to get a notice, let alone a proper response. I’ve even consulted with the well-being team and tutors and other similar individuals as I got into depression and other medical conditions due to the academic and circumstantial events, yet had no empathy let alone proper help. RACISM WILL BE THERE EVEN IN THE GRADES AND MARKS. They do purposefully fail international students to make money by making them repeat the program.

Definitely not a great environment. I strongly believe they are more interested in making money rather than helping students. One of my friends studying in this university and looking at him and agony he is facing because of this university can't even explain. They fail students in final semester and as if it is their policy and the whole plans of students get spoiled just because of this money machines.i believe the overall percentage of people exit from this university with a Degree says it all.

Great to be back on campus today and to meet with colleagues. The new Student Centre is stunning as a focal point for the university and is now operational. Excellent facilities and welcoming staff.
