The cappuccino was good, kudos to the barista, however I won't be coming back and I can't recommend this joint. The girl that served me this afternoon has a very aloof, condescending and disengaged attitude that doesn't belong in what is supposed to be a speciality coffee shop. Get rid of her, quickly, she doesn't care about your reputation. Someone serving should know what's being served, be able to cater questions about food allergies, be engaged in finding answers to such simple questions as, do you use butter or margarine on your bread? Many who order sourdough, and take a detour specifically for such bread, do so for a dietary reason. I cancelled my food order.

βοΈ Willows Coffee House β Review βοΈ Willows Coffee House has the charm of a traditional inn that time has barely touched, creating a warm and nostalgic atmosphere the moment you step inside. The unusual layout adds character and sets it apart from more conventional coffee spots, giving it a truly independent feel. I asked the barista about the origin of their coffee beans, and although they didnβt know immediately, they took the time to check and even showed me the bag. That level of attentiveness really reflects how much they value both their product and their customers. Because of this excellent customer service, Iβm giving them a solid 10/10. The atmosphere is relaxed, with enjoyable music played at just the right volume. Their selection of items feels unique and thoughtfully curated, reinforcing the independent identity of the shop. My espresso was well-prepared, with a great extraction and a beautiful golden crema. The blend, El Salvador, Colombia, and Brazil, offered an interesting mix. The flavors of El Salvador came through first, followed by Colombia, with a lighter touch of Brazil. While the three-bean blend is enjoyable, it does soften the deeper chocolate notes Brazil typically brings on its own. Pairings like El Salvador & Colombia or El Salvador & Brazil might offer more distinct profiles, depending on personal preference. Overall, Iβd give the coffee itself an 8/10, but the overall experience is elevated thanks to the warm, genuine service. Willows is also easy to find, in a convenient location, and their branding stands out just enough to catch your eye as you walk by. Itβs the kind of place that invites you in, whether for a quick espresso or a relaxed break.

A lovely quirky little cute place. Upstairs and downstairs seating is so cosy and great for a lovely catch up with friends and family ! Coffee is delicious , we had cappuccino. Generous sized cups not tiny like some cafes serve ! Lovely toastie stop! Great service from the staff . Very welcoming . Hope to return again.

Very lovely independent coffee shop. The coffee always tastes great. They sell locally made items including sourdough bread, pastries and crafts, I especially like the olive bread. The coffee blend they use is slightly bitter but tastes really nice in the drinks they make. The atmosphere is very comfy, especially downstairs where there is more relaxed seating and a couple board games available. The people that work here are very friendly and chatty and remembered my order since the first time that I came here. Something that is difficult to find in businesses nowadays. Anyway, my goto coffee shop :)

Finally found a decent flat white in Basingstoke. It's a bit tucked away in town, but delicious. An authentic flat white for sure. I've yet to try the food, but from what I've seen go by I'm sure I will at some point! The cakes look amazing. EDIT: I came back for the sourdough toastie as advised. How can a cheese and tomato toastie be so good..! The bread is spectacular and the chili chutney is out of this world! Thank you for the tip.

Extremely friendly staff here, I was being served properly with a smile. The setting is really nice and cozy. The cafe is dog friendly and helping local business and produces by having them on display. All in all a great addition to Basingstoke. Come and try it out if you haven't yet!.
