   I have visited halfords Newbury many times, the staff are lovely and guick ta get the job done. The lad that served me recently had light coloured hair and was relativelt tall, he was informative, helpful and kind. 5 stars for him, and 5 stars for the bald man who is usually on the bike department, who is always approachable and kind. But a tall man with dark hair and glasses is the reason for 2 stars. He was rude to the young lad serving me and rude to the customers he was serving next to me. This is not the first occasion I have noticed him being įgnorant and rude, and doubt it will be the last. Very disappointed with him and he just outright makes the whole experience of the store unenjoyable.

   Took my bike in for a free check over and because the gear shift wasn’t working properly. Ryan did a great job sorting it out very quickly and efficiently as well as replacing the rear tyre which was worn. Walked out in less than half an hour with bike in great working order again. One happy customer - thanks Ryan!

   First class service and although I didn't have an appointment supplied and fitted a car battery for me whilst I waited. The technician that dealt with me was fantastic, helpful, knowledgeable and very polite. If I could, I would of given him 10 stars.

   Simon the Bike Manager, was absolutely fantastic, kind and enthusiastic. He helped our son choose the bike he wanted. He suggested lots of accessories and then fitted them for all us. He made sure we had the right bike lock and well fitting helmet and safety front and back lights along with a mud guard and a water bottle holder. He also made suggestions for future accessories of changing the pedals and grips to nice colours. He was non stop working being asked questions by colleagues and other customers but we did not feel rushed or pressured and he was just a lovely friend hard working guy. Our son was absolutely delighted with his new Carrera bike and the outstanding service we got from Simon will not be forgotten. 10* treatment. Thank you so much.

   I was reminded about the shockingly poor customer service from Saturday staff. Typically part of the order to click and collect I wanted was all in stock online but not actually in store. I was offered a refund or alternative. So I knew they had a concentrate version or the screewash I wanted. However that product was apparently not available and nobody helped to check even though i purchased from the same store the week before. I pointed at the shelf it was on upstairs but still no reaction.

   Turned up, and the battery died on us - worse places you could break down I suppose! Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, did battery health check all free, and then fitted a new one once roadside assistance confirmed it was a dud. No pressure to buy, but great service!
