Decent coffee, long queues, lots of tables (not cleaned in a particularly timely manner). Just what you'd expect from a Costa really. Nice new look and decor in this one though.

I came here when I was having a break from my Christmas shopping and I needed a drink and some food. They were very good, I have never been to Costa before but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and there was a good range of options! The inside was very nice indeed, but it was very busy and the first girl who served me Ruby was slow. I think that the shop could do with more staff, because the queue was very long and service took a long time. Overall a good experience, I will return next time I am in the town centre but it will hopefully be less busy.

Visited last Sunday and it was predictably extremely busy with the pre- Christmas rush having started. Usually know what to expect with Costa and have no comments about the drinks or even the fact that it took ages to get served a couple of coffees. What was unacceptable was the filthy toilet facilities! There was only the disabled toilet accessible ( with the standard cubicle being out of order) and it clearly hadn't been cleaned in hours, the result of which can be seen below. Floor was also soaking wet and I felt so sorry for the woman behind me who needed to change her baby's nappy in such conditions.. I mean, really?! The amount of profit Costa make and they can't get a grip on basic cleanliness. No qualms with the staff who appeared rushed off their feet, rather a management issue that needs addressing urgently to ensure a more pleasant experience for paying customers. Also spotted an out of date gluten free cake at the back of the sweet treats rack next to our table so clearly stock rotation isn't a priority here either. Doubt I'll visit again in the near future .

me and my partner came here today at around 6 for a coffee as it’s getting quite cold outside. we were served by Val, who seemed to have had a bad day as she was quite hostile. as hospitality workers ourselves we understand that serving can’t be all smiles and laughs, but the manner in which she spoke to us and then rather aggressively made the drinks and threw the spoons on the tray made us feel like it was our fault for ordering. i really hate complaining but it wasn’t pleasant.

We popped into this Costa this morning for coffee and some food, and found ourselves in the middle of a medical emergency with one of the other customers. The staff were extremely helpful and copied amazingly well in the situation. Well done to you all and thanks for our coffees. Best regards Nick.

I was going to buy a coffee here, but doors were closed without any reason. People were inside, it’s an absurd situation. Thanks to that, I got nice coffee in Starbucks. Highly not recommended that place.

Coffee & Wrap perfect. Paintwork getting tired. Beginning to become a web cafe. More and more people buying 1 drink and and taking up a table with their laptop's for at least hour and half. Which is really selfish . You need to stop this costa now before it gets out of hand

I came to the Winchester High Street Costa with my mother-in-law and toddler as it was my birthday and I got a free treat on the app. I order two drinks and some cake at 16:06. On the app, it said there would be an approximate 5-8 minutes wait. I checked on the order at 16:22 as it had not been made yet and I saw the receipt sitting the counter. I asked if I could be refunded by the store and was told no. I then asked if there was a problem with the order as we had been waiting over 20 minutes for a click and collect order. They said they were busy and I said ok I would try and contact the app for a refund but there wasn't a number to cal. I then came back to get the order since it had been paid for and there was no way to get a refund. At this point, another click and collect customer came and their order was ready. I enquired what time they had placed the order, they said at 16:25. It had taken them only 7 minutes to create that order. After waiting an additional 10 minutes, they said they had thrown away my order and asked what I ordered. I finally got the drinks and cake at 16:44. Honestly, awful experience from a customer service perspective but also from an operations perspective. Not enough staff at the Costa and the staff there are extremely stressed and get upset when you enquire/ask a question. It was a mistake that the order was skipped and thrown away but instead of apologising or explaining, I was met with hostility.

I like Costa and it is my preferred place. When we visited this one there was stock all over the floor and taking up two tables. There was also no cream for hot chocolates or gingerbread lattes despite having just opened for the day. The drinks were quite nice and the table we did get was good.

Lovely experience, Baristas were very social and kind. Crowded but they managed to do their job superbly. Atmosphere was chill and the radio was on a comfortable volume. Great selection of both food and drink, usually dissatisfied with Costas but this one was a very nice experience overall. No complaints and if the higher-ups see this, give the staff (especially the short black lady and the tall young white guy) a raise because they deserve it.
