First time visiting here today, went on a Sunday at 12pm. Myself and the wife had a full English breakfast and a tea each. Cost £19.70 in total. Premises looked clean (tables, counter, cutlery) and the staff were all great. I would say the cafe was half full and we waited around 10-15 mins for our food to come out. The food was "adequate". There is a fine line between value for money and quality ingredients and I am in no way a snob, but I wouldn't order the breakfast here again myself.

This was our first visit but it won't be our last. The cafe was full but there was a calming atmosphere as people chatted quietly or relaxed on their own. The menu & cost we're amazing...hard to choose. The system of giving you a number & calling out your number when your food is ready works well & the food was piping hot. The staff were all friendly which added to.the ambience of the cafe. A great find!

Visited the Olive Tree Cafe on Sunday, 27th July 2025, and we had a fabulous brunch. The food is really good quality and ample portions. It is reasonable priced. The staff are friendly and professional, plus they make an atmosphere in the Cafe.

Best breakfast in Derby, from the team that used to run the Acropolis on the marketplace. Simple, no nonsense basic food well cooked, promptly served & at a good price point. Nice enough location, clean with good seeting & the staff are friendly & work hard. Highly recommend: the breakfasts, cottage pie & sandwiches. Coffee is only ok, but there are plenty of cold drink options. No airs or graces required & some of the clientele are a little "rough round the edges," which can be "entertaining".

Wonderful old school cafe serving home made style food. Meal very hot, probably the end of the cottage pie for me but tasted nice. Fairly priced. Staff are bloody lovely, smiling and holding doors open for disabled etc. Attracts the older crowd moreso than the processed food yearning younger generations. Definitely recommended looking around the room at other plates. Nice atmosphere too.

Nice little British home cooking cafe, the kind that were everywhere in the 70's & 80's - nice friendly staff

Affordable hot tasty meals. Some items pre-cooked and reheated. We both had steak pie with veg, 1 with chips, other mash (needed more mashing as a few lumps). Plenty of gravy. Polite prompt service, especially by the young waitress who brought our food.

Visited for the first time today and very pleased with the staff, establishment and food that I received. There is a large menu of excellent priced food and even an OAP menu which you dont see in the main food hall in the Derbion. There are clean toilets and the staff are well dressed
