   First time in MB and it was so lovely! We didn't feel rushed when deciding what to order at the counter despite a quite suddenly forming, the staff member just waited patiently and then offered to bring our order to the table - not sure if that is normal or not, but was a nice touch because usually we both struggle with heavy trays. We had the chicken flatbread and a panini, both were heated and delicious! It was a Saturday afternoon and payday weekend when most places are busy and the crowds can make it difficult to keep tables and floors clean but MB was spotless! Even when one staff member was sweeping, they kept away from customers so it didn't feel like they were hurrying you. Finding clean toilets and baby changing at cafes and restaurants can be challenging at the weekends, but again, the facilities at MB were very clean! The small area with toys was perfect for my toddler to enjoy as he can get overwhelmed in town and doesn't always want to eat. It was just a pleasure to be able to have a quick meal and not worry about him disturbing anyone. It was a perfect afternoon break for us all. Only thing I noticed, that would have been a problem for my partner, was a limited choice of GF items, but otherwise a great selection of savoury and sweet items.

   Odd customer service and cheap tasting food for a non cheap price. We ordered a cheese and caramelised onion toasties expecting the usual coffee shop style sandwich. We got what looked like value bread with a little bit of cheese and something that tasted like Branson pickle on it. Ordered a chai latte. What arrived tasted like warm milk with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. I could taste no ‘chai’ in that latte. When I first went to order the person behind the counter asked me my order like midway through her doing a task. Like she asked me but no effort to turn even remotely in my direction. She then before I’d even got a full word out started dunking under the counter and sorting dishes or something out? She then wondered off for a bit before I’d even completed my order. Came back briefly, still never once even facing in my direction and I managed to get another bit of my order out. Half of it to her back as she wondered off again. Then repeat the same thing again. It was odd. Other customers were friendly in the shop though. The little kids area is a nice touch but the high chairs were all stacked up filthy despite the shop only having been open about 20 mins. Cheesecake was nice!

   These muffins are just amazing!!! Not only do they look gorgeous they taste so good! The staff are always lovely and so welcoming. The whole atmosphere is cool and cozy. I’d recommend this place to anyone and everyone. I’ve started to be home away for work in Darby fairly often. These muffins taste just like home and always bring me a small comfort while here. This place has become one of my favourite coffee shops and bakery.

   A breakfast for £ 9.50 inside Derbion was really worth the money. Toasted sourdough bread with two soft sunny side up eggs, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans..etc was all on point. Though I omitted, it comes with two sausages and Bacon. Suggestion - keep salt and pepper on the table (croquet set)

   Great coffee, great miffin's! I stopped here for a coffee break with the family and to have a snack. The staff were friendly and helpful and everyone, even the kids, enjoyed the muffins. Definitely a worthy alternative to Starbucks/Costa

   Very surprised as I expected it to be a lot better from the reviews I read. The staff were very unhelpful ordered a breakfast with a pot tea and they only provided one cup when I asked for another they said sorry we cannot do this. I asked for the lady to let me speak to a manager as when we go regularly to costa and bb Starbucks other places in Derby for breakfast they never say they are not allowed. I explained that the half pot of tea I paid for will be going to waste as it’s enough for two cups and other cafes normally do the same even just provide with a takeout cup but the lady refused and after I told her to bring a manager tell them I’m not happy she just walked away and never came back. Will not be going there again!

   I had a lovely almond milk latte and vegan chocolate chip and strawberry muffin here. The shop itself has plenty of seating and is welcoming and comfortable. The staff are friendly and happy.

   Because our favorite cafe was full we decided to try Muffin Break and we were not disappointed. The coffee was lovely and the cake was good. However, the cheesecake was a lil too sweet for my liking.
