   Had my MOT done by Halfords in Hedge end. It did fail, and I was given a price for the repair. Sadly the price for repair seemed somewhat extortionate and I managed to get it done much cheaper else where. I have since had it re-tested at Halfords and it has passed. I am grateful to Halfords for being thorough and providing a good MOT service. However pricing of repairs does seem above the mark.

   I often use this garage and also impressed by their friendliness and efficiency, but today they went the extra mile and very kindly helped me out with a quick, minor issue that needed sorting asap, fitting me in at short notice when they were clearly very busy.    I had an absolutely amazing, top class experience the second I walked in to the garage at Halfords Autocentre Eastleigh, and would never go anywhere else to get my car fixed or MOTd. As a young female who doesn’t know a lot about cars, it can be daunting to try and find a garage that doesn’t try to swindle you or rip you off. Finding this place has been a weight off my shoulders, as I feel like I’ve found ‘my’ garage. Drew, Debbie, Stuart and the team all made me feel so welcome the moment I came in, explained everything every step of the way, and couldn’t have done more to make me feel like I was in safe hands, and leave feeling like I was driving a safe car. I cannot thank them enough for their outstanding service and kindness, and will actually look forward to my next MOT, rather than dreading it months in advance like I have in the past!    After going in for a free suspension check it was brought to my attention that I needed my front suspension arm replacing. I was told the cost which incl labour. The cost I asked if I could pay in installments and was given a few options the dreaded Klarna or pay assist. I was excepted and the work was done after short notice and only took a few hours which was fantastic. I was kept in contact with by the exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable staff and was told what was the most important thing to fix as a priority so as to keep costs down! The autocentre is a Great garage only let down only by the staff next door in the Halfords shop who were sarcastic and not experts as Halfords claim when it comes to car paint matching.
