What wonderful service , I had acquired a second hand car that required a service and MOT before i was able to drive it to my home city. They fitted me in at short notice and done all that was necessary to get me legally on the road, Can't thank them enough for all their help and such a friendly place would recommend them without hesitation.
Called out to change a flat battery at home. Came straight away and got us mobile again within a couple of hours. Have used Salkelds over several years and have always found them excellent and reasonable charges. Highly recommend.

Took the car in for an oil leak said it was fixed paid £390, a week later the oil leak was back, rang up and took the car back in, they said it was now something else and was £460. Wouldn't trust this place if I'm honest. No apology or discount on the works they said they fixed. I wouldn't trust the positive reviews. Avoid. Reply to the owner's comment - to answer your point I brought in the car so you could check it over, when it was initially fixed your team stated the leak was fixed and no more issues as it was tested, a week later when I checked the leak was worse. I didn't make a second appointment, you advised me to bring it in as you did a bad job, stated it would be £360 (didn't mention it was without VAT btw until I was paying) and only mentioned it was an additional leak when I asked why this wasn't picked up in the first place, seemed like you couldn't care less that you made the situation worse. But yes you're right when someone quotes a second price after they are grifting you I should have walked away. Hope this helps someone else to not fall into the same trap.

This Facility is excellent. That their books are often fuller, is tribute to the knowledge and skill this team has. Generally, cheaper, more realistic service than some other competitors. They trade on name reputation, not a Brand.
I use this garage on a regular basis and I have never had a problem, they use good quality parts, the labour charges are reasonable and most important is that they do not do things that do not need doing, unlike some garages. The owner and mechanics are both polite and efficient. My whole family now use this garage.
