Took my car for its MOT today. Staff were Very friendly and accommodating and my car was ready quickly!
Yet another garage on this industrial estate that likes to rip off its customers with ridiculously high mark ups on all parts. AVOID!
Shoddy service led to car breaking down. Thought I had found a trustworthy garage so let them do a full service on my beloved 3008. Everything seemed fine until the car engine warning light came on and said stop car. Lucky we were arriving home when it happened and not miles away. Called the AA out and they diagnosed a problem with cylinder 2 so it was towed to the local Peugeot dealer. They examined the car and found that the wrong type of spark plugs had been fitted by Hopkins at the service. This had led to the plugs over heating and one of them on cylinder 2 disintegrating. The plugs were total different design so I have no idea how a competent mechanic would have fitted them. Lucky the plug stayed together and no bits had fallen into the engine otherwise major damaged would have occurred. The bill came to £323. I contacted Hopkins and explained. They told me to take them the main dealer report which I did. At the time I requested payment of the dealer bill and also for them to compensate for 6 hours of my time lost, cancel plans and cost of petrol to pick car up etc. They said they would investigate themselves and let me know. After a week or so they then did phone me back and said they would pay the repair bill. I visit the garage and got a refund but no compensation was given or even mentioned. Not even a sorry ! 2 stars as I got a refund of repair without too much trouble. Maybe a one off error but I won't trust them again. Shame because I always found them very pleasant.
Super friendly staff,went there to get my motorcycle tyre swapped. They did it quickly and well. Fair price as well for it,the cheapest I have been offered in the area so I'm very happy with them :)

I had my car MOT today and I couldn’t recommend Hopkins enough. The lady on reception and the man that carried out my service was so lovely and helpful. Excellent customer service. I won’t be going anyway else from now on.
Have been using this garage for a few years now and cannot recommend highly enough. Top notch service, efficient and reassuring. From when they take your motor in, to what work needs completing (if any) , to pick up. They communicate all the way and are fair on price. A good, honest, more than decent service which is hard to come by these days. Thank you Hopkins Auto Works cannot recommend you highly enough!
My family are regulars here but it's the first time I've been for my car. I realised last minute that my car needed an MOT asap. Steve got me a slot within half an hour and it was all done in less than an hour, including a bulb change. What wonderful staff and service. Thanks for saving my blushes!
