If you have a choice then do not use this body shop . Repairs and the final checks before it reaches the customer do not get done . Management are also very unprofessional and seem to shy away from the basic responsibility of contacting and dealing with the customer. Do not use purely on the basis of the ones in charge can’t do their jobs .

It would appear that the latest reviews are 2 years old. Well, here is a review from September 2025. After having an argument with a rather large badger on the A90, I was not looking forward to dealing with the John Clark Bodyshop . . . well I was very wrong in thinking that. From the first phone call to Reception to picking my vehicle up 4 days later they could not have been more friendly, helpful, and thoroughly professional. A great job on the vehicle too, and on time. A big ‘thank you’ from me. Special thanks to the girls in Reception.

Collected 2 weeks ago on this condition after their “repair” under a premia solutions insurance claim. Reported at the time also premia solutions reported the issue to John Clark Body Shop who upheld my complaint. I’ve now called 3 times over this 2 week period and have been fobbed of continuously by staff saying it will be delt with and still zero contact from John Clark. This will now be reported to the Ombudsman as per instructions from Premia Solutions. Also a new claim will now be submitted due to the failure of this Body Shop to contact me directly

Terrible! My car was in to have the 4 wheels refurbished under warranty. A week prior to dropping off my car to the Bodyshop, I paid £1450 to have a multi stage paint correction and a 5 year graphene coating applied by S&M Detailing. My car was at the Bodyshop for 2 weeks getting the wheels done. When I collected the car I returned it to S&M Detailing to finish the wheels in a Ceramic coating after being refurbished, and to look over the car after sitting at the Bodyshop for 2 weeks. He found 2 deep scratches on the front lower bumper where the wheel had scraped past on removal or fitment and paint residue on my driver seat. It cost me a further £100 to remove the scratches from the bumper and reapply the coating to that section, and remove the residue from the driver seat. When reporting this to the Bodyshop, the advisor and receptionist were very helpful in passing the info onto the manager but he turned out to be a total waste of time. Only replying after 2 months, with a snooty email, saying it definitely never happened at the Bodyshop. Not an apology of any sort! He asked for time stamped photos of the car prior to dropping it off at the Bodyshop which I supplied as I had them all from S&M Detailing, and he’d be happy to investigate further…………….. Another month has passed and he has fully ignored all emails.

Waited for weeks to book my car in for repairs due lack of courtesy car availability. Repair then took more than double the estimated time, in which I was not updated regarding the progress (which I was told I would be routinely) until I had phoned which took multiple attempts after the phone was left unanswered. Inspected the car upon completion of the works to find that work had not been carried out correctly and further repair was needed. Then proceeded to wait more than 3 weeks for the car to be taken in for rework, again due to lack of courtesy cars. No timeline given for repairs and, again, failed to be kept in the loop regarding progress after specifically asking for this service. Clearly understaffed and overworked resulting in very poor service, would not recommend.

Repair to bodywork estimated to take 3-5 days, took 15! Work was good but customer service was dire. No communication, phone rang out and cut off constantly. Clearly under resourced with too much work and they failed to manage expectations continually. They even called me the day after our car was collected to say my car would be ready in a few days after mechanical checks!

An expansive and well organised facility close to the North Sea southern coastline of Aberdeen. View of reception, on entry, is both very welcoming and professional. First impression is that of assurance. Clear communication and respect from staff. Very good experience.

After being crashed into and having a choice of bodyshops I settled on John Clark as they are a dealership for my make of vehicle. Knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Like most places they have staffing issues but dealt with everything well and kept me up to date when there was issues with parts being delivered. Very happy with the end result anyway and would use in future

Not even worth one star to be honest! I took my wife's car down for a quote and was promised an email with a quote... cut a long story short several wasted weeks go by, five chase up phone calls later and lots of disingenuous promises plus plenty of our wasted time searching for emails that weren't sent because the quote wasn't actually written. We're very frustrated that people at John Clark Bodyshop assume they have the right to waste other peoples time! Everyone is busy these days, not just them! I took the car elsewhere, had an instant quote, agreed the price (very reasonable) and booked the job! No fannying around with BS and waffle! The sooner customers vote with their feet the better, we don't need old dinosaur businesses like this with their shoddy attitude to potential customers!
