   I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience to help others make informed choices. I visited the salon hoping to leave feeling refreshed and confident. Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling quite the opposite. The haircut I received was noticeably asymmetrical, and despite my efforts to communicate my preferences, I didn’t feel truly listened to. Isabella, the stylist, seemed distracted during the hair wash—engaged in conversation with another staff member while water repeatedly got into my ears. The water temperature fluctuated uncomfortably, and overall, the experience felt rushed and inattentive. The blow dry was also disappointing. A well-executed blow dry should shape the hair naturally, without needing straighteners to curl the ends in. It felt like a shortcut rather than a finished style. Beyond the haircut itself, the salon lacked basic hospitality. There was no meaningful selection of herbal teas, and no milk alternatives were available for those who are vegan or dairy-free. These small details matter—they reflect how inclusive and thoughtful a space is. I left feeling disappointed and unseen. I won’t be returning, and I hope this feedback encourages the team to reflect on how they can offer a more attentive, inclusive, and client-centered experience.

   Having had a less than ideal experience at my former ( long standing) hairdresser, a cut which was too short and terrifying hair shedding, I was very nervous to enter a hair salon. I chose The Green Room, Romsey, where Daisy took great care of me. She was friendly and meticulous as she cut my hair, the blow dry made my hair straight with no need for anything else and I feel so much better!!! Thank you, that was exactly what I needed, I will definitely be back!!!

   Easy to find, accessible, very nicely decorated little salon. All the staff seemed very friendly but particularly Bella who was so lovely and very good at what she does. Quite expensive for a wash and cut but nevertheless will be coming back. Also open on Mondays which most hairdressers in Romsey don’t seem to be.

   Great experience at the Green room! I dread going to the hairdressers but Fran really listened to what I wanted and made it enjoyable. I never wear my hair down but Fran worked her magic and I wear it down all the time now. Looking forward to going back :)

   Excellent cut and colour today with Chloe. Been coming to Chloe/Fran and the Team for years now and never disappointed! It’s a lovely experience from when you walk in the door to when you leave and the Green Room salon decor makes it a lovely relaxing time away from the real world! Great coffee and chat from Carolyn and Lisa and a lovely hair wash from Daisy today. Feel rejuvenated now. Thank you x

   On the off chance I called and got an appointment today ... I was definitely not disappointed. First time to have it coloured and only my second visit and to be fair it was fantastic. On both occasions I have met Ella who has done conditioning to my hair and assisted in colouring she's amazing ... Great hairdresser and lovely to talk to! Super lovely. And then there's Bella who is like Ella a little talent. No messing with choosing the right hair colour and again good to chat to. For those who think young hairdresser's aren't competent ..think again ..these two are pretty awesome and can do a range of things. Thank you Ella for being consistently lovely and genuine and thank you Bella for choosing the right colour and executing it well My go to hairdresser's and it's taken me ages to find one since leaving the Midlands. If you haven't tried it please go . You won't be disappointed. Much love xxx

   Had a great experience visiting the green room, from start to finish it was such a lovely salon experience, everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and it was a really relaxing experience. Chloe was fabulous and my hair colour and cut is exactly what I wanted, she listened to my concerns and was really attentive to what I was after. The salon itself is just beautiful, but that aside, it’s just a great hairdressers and you come out feeling pampered and looked after and my hair is just great. Highly recommend!
