Clean shop. Good choice of wines. Que at the till was soon cleared as more staff came to the till. Staff were busy filling shelves. Great multiskilling demonstrated here.

Got IDd at the till for an alcohol free drink no problem i understand why what I don’t get is why I was refused service for being under 25 Lidl has a think 25 policy to challenge a persons age if that look under 25 to ensure no person under 18 buys alcohol but once I provided my drivers licence proving I’m over 18 (the legal age) I should have been served I was not. Thay need re training on the licensing act and challenge/ think 25 policies. Especially as I have bought real alcohol at the same shop before.

Well stocked, clean, fast tills with minimal queues- Lidl benefits of good prices and reasonable food - typically buy steaks that are always good on the BBQ if you select the right ones, wine is cheaper but you have to be choosy to get something that's decent. Overall pleasant shopping experience

Extremely poor. I don't visit often but everytime I do there's huge queues with only 2 on checkouts at peak times. Finally got to the front of the queue today and Daniela - shift manager, had a customer who she clearly knew come up to her. Rather than continuing to serve and actually doing something about the eve growing queue, she instead decided to have a lovely chit chat, get her phone out and show the customer something while I stood there like a lemon. Dumped chilled/frozen food at the checkout is also a regular sight, I guess some people understandably just get too fed up and half wishing I did the same.

This is my first review about Lidl with a bad experience at one of the shopping tills. The tall and thin European lady who usually serves customers gave me some hard time for a printed receipt. I always ask for the receipt in case of errors or faulty products I might have to return for a refund or replacement. But today was different for some reason and for no fault of mine. I had popped in to the store for the second time to buy something I had forgotten and when I asked for the receipt the lady hesitated and said that I had to switch off the digital receipt option on my Lidl Plus app. I was confused since I hadn't changed the options in years nor did I know where to find them. She seemed distracted and annoyed throughout the conversation yet bothered to give me directions to navigate the app which I was least interested in. I mean, I had just shopped and collected my receipt a minute ago from the same lady from the same till and now I'm being told off for asking a printed receipt for WHAT? To save the digital ecosystem??! Feedback to management: Please train your staff to respect customer preference and needs irrespective of environmental concerns. End of day your business exists because of people like us and not the other way round. What if I need both digital as well as hard copy receipts? It's my personal choice therefore please oblige or take your business elsewhere.

Always great shopping at Lidl. You never know what your going to find. Fruit and veg are always fresh. Shop assistants helpful. Well done.

When I visited my local Lidl for the first time last week, much to my amazement, I didn't see any of the savings that everyone has been continually ranting about. By the time I got to the checkout, the contents of my basket must have been equivalent to a standard weekly shop, Never before has it been as expensive. Furthermore, I couldn't identify any of the items on the receipt and what was worse is that some items were not even packaged correctly. For example, I picked up a Beef and Pancetta Rotolo with a red wine and thyme sauce but when I removed the outer sleeve I was presented with a lasagne. I won't be returning!

Reasonably sized supermarket on Molly Millers lane south of railway station. Because its further away from town centre than the Aldi store there is no need to register your car registration number and risk being fined. Car parking is free and is of a good size. Store is pretty standard with no self service tills.

First visit today, clean and tidy store with great options, large store so plenty of variety and range. Staff were friendly on the tills and service was good and quick without rushing you too much, my only negative was I had a reduced item but it wasn't scanned so was a little dissapointing.

Disappointing, the cashier was obviously untrained. I picked up a 4 pack of beer and he charged me for 4 packs. If I had not checked my receipt before leaving the store, I feel they would not have believed me, as there would have been no way I could have proved it. As it is the charge has gone on my credit card, but as yet the credit has not. This instance is shabby and reflects badly on Lidl
