Decent little shop and saves me going to Reading for halal meat. Much better quality than Sainsbury’s halal selection. The old boy behind the counter is class.

I had a wonderful experience at Ikram Continental Store. The shop is well organized and very customer friendly. The hygiene is excellent, and the staff are kind and always ready to help with choosing and carrying out groceries. Truly a store I can recommend!!

I bought 2kg of oxtail for £26.2. The guy picked the oxtail by turning his back to me. When I got home, I found more than half are the end of oxtails. No meat at all. It is very obvious that he kept all the meat parts. The price is even much higher than Sainsbury’s and Waitrose. I will never buy from this dishonest shop.

I was happy that this shop has halal meat but not helpful at all with their bad customer service and worst hygiene. The man on the cashere thought it is completely acceptable and normal to be working at the cashere then went to dish up the meat onto the scale using his bare hands. He was surprised and angry that I mentioned that he should wear gloves or simply use a spatula or a scoop. I would understand it if he is the butcher cutting the meat not working around the shop and think it is ok to use his bare hands when handling the meat.
The chicken price they take is for 1KG and they always give around 0.85 KG. When asked they reply it is just around 1KG. I am writing this review after taking meat for more than 8 times now... Also when asked to cut into small size, the guy never cuts properly, with broken bones and stuff... You can get most of the Pakistani and Indian stuff here which is great though... 5 stars for availability and variety of products... The only problem is with the meat cutter guy...
one of them is very rude might be the shop owner, i mean very rude had avoid since 2 years.....had to buy some spices, so remind this shop again but i will travel 20 mins ride to sandhurst for the spices. better not to be exasperated by that man so better avoid. 1 star for the other gentleman whose presence was rare when i visited.
The shop sells all these delicious curry mixes which I use to make curries. I know where to buy ingredients for curries. Very good curry mixes and enjoy the garlic paratha and they stock on guava which I totally enjoy.
