   Rude/weird lady at till. Several times I’ve come in and greeted her, as I always do when served. She’s always there, never utters a word in response. Today, I asked if the card transaction had goen through. Mute. Im sorry, but this isn’t acceptable from someone facing the public. I understand having a bad day, but every single time, to every customer? Management, maybe have a word?

   The newest refit additions are awful. Entire service counter except the self service machines is behind a plastic screen with little slats to talk through, and a CAGE over the basket shelf!? Can't wait for whatever innovations come next to make it even less friendly and welcoming.

   Just been in my local Tesco Hartley wintney, on paying at the till, the rather arrogant operator shone the barcode scanner in my eyes, albeit by mistake I hope. When I said to her that she should be more careful not to shine in customers eyes. She promptly picked it up and deliberately did it again!!!!! And Said what this!!!!. She had better not do it again. I have tried to call and speak to the manager, but the phone doesn't connect. Hence my review.

   I wouldn't normally leave a review like this, but honestly one of the worst local shopping experiences I can remember and does a disservice to the rest of high street. The majority of the fridges that would contain any fresh food are constantly broken and today you can add the freezers to that too. That leaves you with lots of processed junk and alcohol. Just such a disappointing place overall.

   Store was relatively quiet when I visited, but not surprised as many of the fridges were closed up/empty. The member of staff on the tills was clearly disinterested in working. But on the plus side it had a good range of beer & wine which was cold! (At least they have these fridges working)

   I came into the shop and one of the assistants was wearing a mask but just over his mouth he was walking around then as it got busy he open a till with no screen . This is a bad time for all of us we all need to keep safe the old man in front of me was so stressed about it The assistant was dark haired I couldn’t see all of his name it wasn’t English started with M Kind regards
